Regigigas and Shaymin Toys R Us Event Information

While it was announced the other day that Shaymin would be given out at Toys R Us, we have now learned that Regigigas will be too. Thanks to Ultimatedra, we have obtained two posters from Toys R Us providing us with new information on the downloads; click the thumbnails below for larger images.

The Regigigas giveaway will occur from March 8th to March 21st. In comparison, the Shaymin downloads will take place a month earlier starting on February 8th and ending February 14th. Thus, Shaymin will be available first for less than a week, while Regigigas will be downloadable a month later for less than two weeks.

Shaymin’s moveset is Seed Flare, Aromatherapy, Substitute, and Energy Ball. Surprisingly, it uses all four moves in Giratina and the Sky Warrior. It will also be holding a Micle Berry (raises accuracy in a pinch). Regigigas will know the moves Iron Head, Rock Slide, Icy Wind, and Crush Grip, while holding a Custap Berry (makes first move in a pinch). It will be given to you at Level 100, though Shaymin’s level is not yet known at this time. Both Pokemon will be inside Cherish Balls.

Additionally, the Regigigas you receive from Toys R Us will allow you to access special caves in Pokemon Platinum that contain Regirock, Regice, and Registeel. You just need to have the event Regigigas in your party. When Platinum is released, Pokemon.com will provide instructions on where to find and capture the three legendaries.

As a side note, the $5.00 DS game coupon you will receive at the Shaymin event can only be used from February 8th to 14th. It therefore cannot be used to buy Pokemon Platinum.
