‘Double Crisis’ Set Logo, Owner’s Pokemon?
The logo and official set description for Double Crisis have been revealed! The description confirms that two of the set’s eight holo cards are Kyogre-EX and Groudon-EX, though they may actually be owner’s Pokemon:
Two teams of villains emerge from their hideouts to clash over the fate of the world in Pokemon TCG: Double Crisis! Team Aqua brings sheer brawn and willpower while Team Magma leverages logic, and both are willing to move land and sea to accomplish their goals. While Team Aqua’s Kyogre-EX rampages against Team Magma’s Groudon-EX, their rival ambitions could change the Hoenn region forever!
It is unclear if the set’s descriptions means that the cards are literally named “Team Aqua’s Kyogre-EX” and “Team Magma’s Groudon-EX,” as has been the case with sets like EX Team Magma vs. Team Aqua, or if the description is just clarifying which team is after which Pokemon and they’re really just named “Kyogre-EX” and “Groudon-EX.” Since the set pits the two teams against each other, it could be the first case. What do you think?
As we first posted last month, the 28-card Double Crisis mini-set will come in a Team Aqua or Team Magma-themed box. Each box contains a collector’s pin and coin featuring the Team Aqua or Team Magma logo as well as four 7-card Double Crisis booster packs. The boxes will be released on March 25th in stores (though with our luck lately, we could see it several weeks before then :p). The set will first release in Japan on January 30th.
