Heatran LV.X and Regigigas LV.X Promos Coming to America
Sunday, August 24th, 2008 @ 3 PM, EDT - By: Water Pokémon Master
UPDATE: Added the Regigigas tin image, confirming it as a LV.X with new, English-exclusive artwork. This is a followup to our "2008 Fall and Holiday Tins" news story. As we speculated before, the Heatran and Regigigas cards used in the prerelease product tin images were just placeholders, and were not the actual cards that would come in the tins. It turns out we will be getting Heatran LV.X and Regigigas LV.X instead. Click the thumbnails below for larger images of the LV.X tins. Heatran LV.X was originally released back in Japan on March 14th in the DP5: Temple of Anger / Cry from the Mysterious Visual Book as a promo, and then again in Intense Fight in the Destroyed Sky (IFDS) with different artwork. By the time the tins come out on November 5th in America, it will have been eight months since Japan first received Heatran. Regigigas LV.X has only been released in Intense Fight in the Destroyed Sky, which came out on July 10th in Japan. Since our next English set will be released in November and these tins come out in November, both of these LV.X's will have to be in the English set. The Heatran LV.X featured in the tin has the promo artwork from the Visual Book, meaning the English set's Heatran LV.X will use the set artwork from IFDS. The Regigigas LV.X in the tin will have brand new, English-exclusive artwork like Darkrai LV.X, since only one Regigigas LV.X has been released in Japan. For the English set, Regigigas LV.X will use the set artwork from IFDS. (Below translations from Intense Fight in the Destroyed Sky page.)
