The official Pokemon Card website has updated tonight with images from the Leafeon vs. Metagross Expert Deck and four Battle Starter Decks we reported about back in September and October. The products will be released in Japan on November 20th.

The "Leafeon vs. Metagross Expert Deck" is split into two sixty-card decks (120 cards total, eight holos). The Leafeon deck comes with Leafeon, Roserade, Shaymin, Torkoal, and a new Supporter called Interviewer's Question. The Metagross deck contains Metagross, Mismagius, Jirachi, Rare Candy, and a new Goods card called Pokemon Circulator. Translations are below, courtesy of Bangiras and Jason.

As for the TCG simulator included in the package, we have confirmed it will allow players to battle each other online with your own custom decks. There will be an online ranking system, you can make your own friend's list, and we think there is an offline mode as well. More information on this program will be released later.

Part 1 of 3 of the Team Galactic episodes aired in Japan today. If you want to see episode pictures, check out Filb.de's screenshots. The final two Team Galactic episodes will air in a one-hour special next week.

Last night (more like 2 AM in the morning), Heerosferret, viper.fox, Holy Star, and myself recorded a podcast mainly discussing Arceus and the Arceus movie. We talk about our trips to Japan, seeing the Arceus movie in Japanese theaters, Arceus itself, the pronunciation of its name, Arceus as Pokemon god, religion, Mr. Mime's fingers (say wha?), changes to Pokemon, tolerance, and other random stuff. The podcast doesn't have much of a structure - it's one very long discussion where one topic leads to another. Next time we'll work on breaking it down into smaller topics. Also, the podcast contains movie plot spoilers, though a lot of it (not all) was already revealed by the Pokemon movie site before the movie was released in theaters.

The podcast is about an hour and ten minutes long. If you want to throw it on your iPod, you can download the original MP3 by right-clicking and saving this link (68.2 MBs). Otherwise, you can listen to it by hitting the play button below. Also, please excuse our intro - we actually had to record it after the podcast ended because I overwrote the original file, but one of our members had left by then, so I had to sort of "interpret" their voice. XD

Excited for Arceus and the Jewel of Life?! If not, hopefully this will convince you to watch it! Below is an exclusive PokeBeach audio clip from the movie. If you followed our coverage before the Japanese movie was released in theaters or watched the movie trailers, the clip's contents are not a spoiler to you. Click the play button below to listen. An excerpt from our Arceus and the Jewel of Life summary is also posted below so you can visualize the audio. Tomorrow another audio clip will be posted so be sure to check back!

... Back in jail, Damos is offended at what Ash and crew were saying and says that it helped Arceus long ago. The following flashback took place for over 10 minutes. Damos is walking across desolate land at night and it is lightly snowing. Huge meteors strike and destroy the land, and as Damos looks up, an even larger meteor approaches, which is the source of the large meteors already striking. Damos shakes his head in disbelief and fear. Suddenly, Arceus appears out of its dimension and flies up into the sky. Its plates leave its body and circle around it, forming a strong barrier. It runs into a few smaller meteors and destroys them. Arceus finally reaches the enormous meteor and rams it, slowing it down, but also causing it to explode from the strength of the resistance, creating the largest explosion in the anime ever. The meteor completely dissolves as it collides into Arceus. From afar, we can see the meteor disintegrating into the atmosphere. Arceus makes a painful grunt and loses all of its plates in the process of the explosion. The remains of the meteor crash down, causing wild Pokemon and the few humans living on the land to run into caves for cover [the flashback continues beyond this clip with a new scene]...

Someone on YouTube has uploaded the Arceus and the Jewel of Life trailer airing on Australia's Cartoon Network, which you can watch below. The background music and narrator are from Australia's Cartoon Network and will not be used in the movie.

Again, Arceus' name is pronounced with a hard "C." You can hear the English voices of Arceus, Marcus (Gishin), and Sheena (no, Australia does not dub over the movie's American English with Australian English, mates). Though I'm probably wrong due to the low quality of the audio, Arceus sounds like a higher-pitched Goku, Sheena sounds like a cross between Misty and Dawn, and I don't know who would be comparable to Marcus' voice. "Transcend the confines of time and space!" is apparently the dub's translation of "Conquer it! The laws of time and space!"

Tomorrow (as in, later today since it's 1:30 AM), I'll post one or two audio clips from the Japanese movie so you can all get a feel of its excitement. Check back later! Remember, the movie airs this Friday in Australia and on November 20th in America.

The Arceus LV.X tin we posted back in September is now available early at stores like Wal-Mart and Target, though its original release date was supposedly in December (TPCi probably decided to release it earlier). It costs $19.99 and comes with three Arceus booster packs, two Diamond and Pearl and / or Platinum series booster packs, a POP 9 pack, and the below DP53 Arceus LV.X promo. Click the card thumbnail for a larger scan, courtesy of Jason.

Pokemon.com has revealed through a new Arceus movie website that Arceus and the Jewel of Life will premiere on Cartoon Network Friday, November 20th. The website's character biographies state Giishin's dub name will be Marcus while Damos, Sheena, and Kevin will keep the same names. The Space-Time Machine is now called the Space-Time Axis. As revealed a while ago, Notched-Ear Pichu is now called Spiky-Eared Pichu. The site's movie trailer also reveals that Arceus' name is pronounced with a hard "C" sound (Ar-kee-iss), contradicting the "Ar-see-us" pronunciation in Pokemon Battle Revolution.

Update #3 (10:00 AM, Sunday): Cartoon Network has now updated their online schedule; the movie is not airing Friday. However, it could air next Friday instead as discussed previously. We'll keep checking for the date! | Update #2 (5:30 PM): TV Guide has now moved the "TBA" from 6:30 to 8:00 PM on both days. | Update (4:00 PM) - There is also a "TBA" for the following Friday at the same time. So, it could either be this week or next week. We'll just have to wait for official confirmation. It would be odd for Australia to air the movie way ahead of us, so it may still be this Friday. Last time we knew two weeks ahead of time, though. Whatever happens, at least we know it will be soon now!

With confirmation that Arceus and the Jewel of Life is airing on Friday in Australia, checking America's TV Guide schedule reveals that there is a "To Be Announced" slot for Cartoon Network on Friday from 5:00 to 6:30 PM. We can probably assume that this is the reserved time slot for the movie.

Make sure to watch it even if you haven't seen the movies or show in a while - it's an exciting movie! There is this long flashback that lasts around 10 minutes with Arceus and Damos; it's my favorite part of any Pokemon movie. This is the shortest time between a Japanese theatrical release and an American premiere as well, so we're getting special treatment this time around. The Japanese won't even have the DVD yet.

According to Cartoon Network Australia's online schedule, Arceus and the Jewel of Life will be airing this upcoming Friday, November 6th, at 6:00 PM. Considering it is unlikely Australia would be airing the movie long before the United States, we'll probably see the movie within a few weeks as well, possibly even on the same date. If you want to read a detailed plot summary of the movie, check out our movie summary from July. We'll keep an eye out for official confirmation of the United States' air date.
