Remember that Pokemon Sunday will air tomorrow and is going to reveal at least one new Pokemon! Check here around 4:00 PM California time (PST) for the news! Compare your time to the time listed at the top left of this page to find out when to check back here.

The official Pokemon site has issued erratas for Onix and PlusPower from HS - Unleashed and Lucky Egg from Arceus. The cards have been corrected because Onix's Poke-Body is mistranslated, PlusPower is using outdated text, and Lucky Egg needs clarification. Despite what the cards have printed on them, they must be played using the following text from now on. The corrections to the cards are italicized below.

Lucky Egg (Platinum - Arceus, 88/89)

When the Pokémon this card is attached to is Knocked Out by damage from an opponent’s attack and put into your discard pile, draw cards until you have 7 cards in your hand.

Reason: If the Pokémon does not go to the discard pile (for example, if it goes to the Lost Zone, etc.), you do not get to draw the cards.

Onix (HS - Unleashed, 56/95)

(Poké-Body) Energy Healer
When you attach an Energy card from your hand to Onix, remove a damage counter from Onix.

Reason: This Poké-Body only works when you attach an Energy card to Onix.

PlusPower (HS - Unleashed, 80/95)

If the Pokémon PlusPower is attached to attacks, the attack does 10 more damage to the Active Pokémon (before applying Weakness and Resistance).

Reason: This is to match past versions of the card. Also, if the Pokémon uses an attack that would damage itself, PlusPower would also affect that damage.

TV Tokyo's description for May 16th's Pokemon Sunday episode states that the show will be announcing special fifth generation news: "Pokemon Black and White's three starters, shocking battle scenes, and more will be revealed to the public!" The episode's title is "New Pokemon Game and Movie Scoop Back-to-Back Special!" Thanks goes to Bangiras for these translations.

This week, the show is going to reveal at least one new Pokemon. They may just flat-out show us a new Pokemon or they could tease us with the silhouettes of the three starters (being the new Pokemon they promised) and then reveal them in full on next week's episode. Either way, CoroCoro's May 15th issue will have the same content as the show's two upcoming episodes. Since scans of the magazine will probably be leaked on the Internet around the 10th, we'll more than likely have the artwork of the starter Pokemon and everything else before next week's episode.

Tune in to PokeBeach on Saturday around 4:00 PM (California time). We'll be watching the episode like a hawk and will upload the new Pokemon / silhouettes a few seconds after they are revealed!

Our forum supermod PMJ has spent the past two or so months writing an extremely comprehensive HeartGold and SoulSilver walkthrough / guide. It details almost everything there is to the two remakes and is a great resource for anyone who owns them. Be sure to check it out if you need any sort of help! The guide has been added to the left menu under "Games" for future accessing.

As posted a few months ago, a new HS Trainer Kit would be released with the holo Raichu and Gyarados from HeartGold & SoulSilver, but with new English-exclusive artwork. The kits are now available in stores like Wal-Mart for $12.98. Thanks to Omahanime, we have scans of the two holo cards below, which you can click for larger images.

The kit comes with a HeartGold & SoulSilver booster pack as well as damage counters, a playmat, one guide for each 30-card deck, a rule book, and a cardboard deck box (featuring Raichu on one side and Gyarados on the other). The Gyarados 30-card deck comes with Magikarp, Gyarados (one holo, one non-holo), Totodile, Croconaw, Marill, Energy Switch, Pokemon Communication, Poke Ball, Professor Elm's Training Method, Switch, Bill, and Water Energy. The Raichu deck contains Pikachu, Raichu (one holo, one non-holo), Mareep, Flaaffy, Meowth, Moomoo Milk, Copycat, Pokemon Collector, Switch, Poke Ball, Energy Switch, and Lightning Energy. The kit is obviously for two beginning players of the game - the one who uses the Water-type deck will learn about weaknesses the hard way. :p

SteveP's deck list program has been updated with the cards from HS - Unleashed. The program allows you to fill out your tournament deck lists on the computer and print them out. In the future, the program can be accessed from the left menu under the TCG section.

Pokemon Sunday just finished airing! For next week's episode preview (May 9th's), hostess Shokotan was shown holding up a poster with a question mark covering it, as you can see below. It was then explicitly stated that a new Pokemon from Pokemon Black and White will be revealed.

As with Zoroark, the show will probably only show a silhouette at first (on the 9th) and then reveal the Pokemon in full during their next episode (the 16th). However, CoroCoro magazine will probably have the Pokemon in their May 15th issue, which will likely be leaked on the Internet around the 10th or 11th. So, we should know what the new Pokemon or Pokemon forme is within the next two weeks! What could it be? Well, anything really... my totally "random" fan guess is a new Celebi forme. What's yours?

Check out our set list for HS - Unleashed: we now have all 96 scans! Alph Lithograph is in the set as a secret rare and originates from the original LEGEND: HeartGold and SoulSilver set, numbered "TWO." All of the new scans are below thanks to Lily, losjackal, GL Mo, Brandon P, Gabe C., Patrick W., and Torterra Chips. If they are showing up as "No Scan Yet" images, clear your cache or refresh the page a few times to see them.

Thanks to Bangiras' translations, several of our visitors have pointed out that Onix's Poke-Body is mistranslated. The English card allows you to heal any of your Pokemon by 10 damage when attaching an Energy card to them, but the original card restricted the healing only to Onix, meaning the card will be noticeably more powerful at prereleases. I guess since the set has such sucky cards TPCi decided to amp Onix up a bit, lol. But seriously, I find it a bit funny that one person is able to translate whole Japanese sets at 3 AM in the morning and within only a few hours and is still able to get the cards more correct than the official company. We wuv u Bangiras. :p

We now have 90 pre-prerelease scans for HS - Unleashed, as you can see below; click the thumbnails for larger images and use the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate through them like a slideshow. We cannot confirm at this point if there are any secret rares, though if there are any, it would probably just be another Alph Lithograph. If you get any of the cards we are missing at your prereleases, please scan them for us and send them to wpm@pokebeach.com. Gracias amigos! To discuss this set, feel free to post in this forum thread!

New Ho-Oh, Lugia, Entei, Suicune, and Raikou promos have been announced to members of the Japanese Daisuki Pokemon Club via e-mail. The five cards are LEGEND-series promos, holo, and the Pokemon are notably in their shiny forms from the games. The cards are obviously a promotion for the shiny Legendary Beasts that players will be able to download when preordering tickets for The Ruler of Illusions: Zoroark movie.

To obtain the promos, you have to submit proofs of purchase from two LEGEND-series booster packs to the Pokemon Card Company between April 28th and June 30th along with a short survey. You will then be entered into a drawing to win either a set of the Legendary Beasts or a set of the Ho-Oh and Lugia, of which there are only 1,000 sets available of each. In terms of early Pokemon designs, which of the following was originally a single Pokemon but was later split into the Pokemon they are today?
