Filb.de has discovered new PokePark Wii: Pikachu's Great Adventure scans from an online store. Click the thumbnails below for larger images, which will open in new windows because of their size. If there is anything note-worthy in the scans, this news story will be updated later. Remember, the game will be released on December 5th in Japan.

Bangiras has translated the FAQ from the official Japanese Pokemon website for the Advent of Arceus set. It should help with understanding how a lot of the new cards work both on their own and when interacting with cards from previous sets. If you are a professor, you might want to read over the questions and their answers to be more prepared for judging the prereleases this weekend.

Tangrowth LV.X from Platinum: Arceus has been revealed, as you can see below. The card will obviously be holo in real life. If I have time tonight, I'll post Bangiras' translation of the Japanese FAQ for this set which should help both judges and players in fully understanding the cards at the prereleases. Since I have five midterms / papers this week, there's no way on Earth I'll have time to edit and post scans until perhaps Thursday or Friday.

PS Games has posted images of the 2009 World Championship decks, which will be available in stores starting October 28th. The championship decks that will be sold are David Cohen's "Stallgon," Tsubasa Nakamura's "Crowned Tiger," Jason Martinez "Queengar," and Stephen Silvestro's "Luxdrill." According to Nintendo Power, Arceus will be downloadable at Toys R Us stores from November 7th until November 15th. Only Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum players can download it. The special Arceus will eventually allow you to unlock the Shinto Ruins in HeartGold and SoulSilver, where your Arceus will make you either a level 1 Dialga, Palkia, or Giratina. Additionally, if you have Arceus in your party and go to the Oreburgh Mine in Pokemon Platinum, a hiker will tell you the legend of the Alpha Pokemon and Sinnoh.

The official Japanese Pokemon website has updated with clear images of a few of the PokePark Wii - Pikachu's Great Adventure screenshots from Famitsu and CoroCoro magazine. Click the thumbnail below for a larger image. Remember, the game will be released in Japan on December 5th.

Graphics chip company nVidia has won the rights to implant its Tegra "System-on-Chip" processor into the next Nintendo portable system, which both BSN and PC Perspective have confirmed with internal nVidia sources. This thus confirms that a successor to the DS line is in the works, which BSN states will see a release in late 2010. Note however that both Nintendo and nVidia have not made any official announcements, so this news is not 100% confirmed yet.

The Tegra chip is used in Microsoft's HD Zune Player and in many smart phones. Its graphics and processing power are on par with the Wii and it offers far less battery consumption than the current DS setup, meaning the next system will feature a major boost in graphics and battery life. If the next Nintendo portable system is released in 2010, we could see the 5th generation Pokemon games as early as fall 2010, though more likely in 2011 since Pokemon games always come out at least the year after their respective systems are released.

Famitsu magazine has dedicated half a page in this month's issue to the upcoming PokePark Wii - Pikachu's Great Adventure game, as you can see below (click the thumbnail for a much larger image). The official Japanese Pokemon websites will probably update with the same screenshots fand additional information sometime this week.
