Pokemon.com has posted information about the TCG and video game Regional Championships for this coming fall. It seems that TPCi is attempting to get more younger players involved in the competitive tournament scene by providing additional travel awards for the Juniors and Seniors divisions, as you'll read below. The Masters division typically dominates the tournament scene with its numbers, so the additional prize support for the two younger age divisions should foster their growth and give younger players a better opportunity to travel to the larger and more competitive tournaments.

The Pokémon TCG Autumn Regional Championships is the first of three events that give players an opportunity to earn a Travel Award to their respective National Championships! Held in cities across the U.S. and Canada on October 13th, each Regional Championship is part of a title event series where players compete for the title of Regional Champion! Results of the Regional Championships can give a serious boost to a player’s Championship Points and chances of getting into the 2013 World Championships in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

The Video Game Autumn Regionals take place on Sunday, October 14th. We’re also rolling out a new Championship Points system for video game competitors. See the Video Game Regionals page for more details.

As expected, Boundaries Crossed's booster packs will feature artwork of Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, Keldeo Resolute Forme, and perhaps not so obviously, Landorus Therian Forme. Its theme decks, on the other hand, will feature a brand new Black Kyurem card and White Kyurem card that have not even been released in Japan yet (only EX cards of the two have been released there). Boundaries Crossed is our equivalent of Japan's BW6 Cold Flare / Freeze Bolt and will be released in America on November 7th, with prereleases taking place the weekends of October 27th and November 3rd.

The Black Kyurem and White Kyurem Boxes we announced on Wednesday will feature holo promo cards of either Black Kyurem or White Kyurem. The two are not EX cards, and could possibly be the exact same Black Kyurem and White Kyurem cards featured in the Boundaries Crossed theme decks (spare their card artwork, which is the exact same artwork used on the theme deck packaging). Each box comes with a Black Kyurem or White Kyurem figure, the holo promo card, and four Black and White series booster packs, all for $19.99. Thanks goes to our friends at PokeCollection for the images below! We'll most likely have higher resolution images of everything below this coming week, so be sure to check back!

According to a new Pokemon ad running at GameSpot, Genesect will be available to English Black 2 and White 2 games via Wi-Fi starting October 7th, the day the two sequels are released in North America. It will likely match its Japanese counterpart, which comes with Techno Blast, Magnet Bomb, SolarBeam, Signal Beam, and no held item. The download will last until November 12th.

Now that Keldeo's distribution is going on at Gamestop, and Genesect's is coming up, what about Meloetta, which sits between them in the Pokedex? Maybe it'll be available for download whenever its movie short comes out? Furthermore, what's with the rush to get the fifth generation over so quickly?

The “Battle Strength Black Kyurem-EX” and “Battle Strength White Kyurem-EX” decks we first learned about back in June have finally been revealed! Both decks will contain 60 cards each, cost 1,680 yen, and will be released in Japan on October 19th. Previously, Articuno-EX (Plasma) was confirmed to be a part of Plasma Gale, so now we know all of the Legendary Birds will see a release this time around!
