Update (8:45 PM) - Added the official YouTube trailer below. As our members pointed out, the card templates are a bit different.

After Pokemon's tumultuous history in Russia, Nintendo and TPCi have announced that the Pokemon TCG will be released in Russia on October 6th with the release of XY! The cards will be written in actual Russian, adding a new language to the TCG's current repertoire of Japanese, English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and Korean. We at PokeBeach are excited to welcome Russian Pokemon TCG fans!

Russian fans who visit Moscow's Comic-Con event from October 2nd to 5th will also be able to purchase XY booster packs and theme decks from Nintendo's booth before the product officially hits stores shelves. Thanks goes to Dima Y. for the heads up on this story!

On November 21st, an "Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Special Pack - M Diancie-EX" will be released in Japan to celebrate the release of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire! The pack will come with a Diancie-EX and M Diancie-EX (with 210 HP), a booster pack of each XY set, and will cost 500 yen.

Just like the English "Pokemon TCG Treasure Tin" we first posted about the other day, this product is obviously meant to hold over Japanese fans until the release of a true Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire TCG set.

It took me almost a day to download the episode, but a new Phantom Gate commercial aired during Pokemon Get TV in Japan yesterday, revealing Hydreigon, Zweilous, Deino, Loudred, Whismur, Fletchinder, Fletchling, Purrloin, and Helioptile!

Most of the cards were in the background and revealed in pieces throughout the commercial, partially, or barely at all, so the screenshots I took are pretty small. As usual, a big thanks goes to Franco T. for the translations!

Another Pokemon Center poster advertising Phantom Gate has partially revealed M Manectric-EX, Chandelure, and "Head Noiser," the previously seen Team Flare card (what a weird name!). Head Noiser is the first Pokemon card in the TCG's history that can physically be attached to your opponent's cards. It is labeled with a "Pokemon Tool F" rule, which is short for "Pokemon Tool Team Flare." A huge thanks goes to Franco T. for the translations and Takamori2013 for the photos! To discuss these cards, check out this thread on our forums!

M Manectric-EX from Phantom Gate

M Manectric-EX - Lightning - HP210
Mega Evolution - Evolves from Manectric-EX

When 1 of your Pokemon becomes a Mega Evolution, your turn ends.

[L][C] Turbo Bolt: 110 damage. Choose 2 basic Energy from your discard pile and attach them to 1 of your Benched Pokemon.

When a Pokemon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Weakness: ?
Resistance: ?
Retreat: ?

Chandelure from Phantom Gate

Chandelure - Psychic - HP130
Stage 2 - Evolves from Lampent

Ability: Fainting Spell
Once during your opponent's turn, if this Pokemon would be Knocked Out by damage from an attack, you may flip a coin. If heads, the opponent's Active Pokemon is Knocked Out.

[P][C][C] Cursed Drops: Put 6 damage counters to your opponent's Pokemon in any way you like.

Weakness: Darkness (x2)
Resistance: ?
Retreat: ?

Head Noiser from Phantom Gate

Head Noiser (Team Flare's Hyper Gear) - Trainer
Item

Pokemon Tool F: Attach a Pokemon Tool F to 1 of your opponent's Pokemon-EX that doesn't already have a Pokemon Tool attached to it. If that Pokemon is Knocked Out, discard this card.

The Pokemon this card is attached to has the cost of its attacks increased by [C].

If this card becomes detached, this card is discarded to the original player's discard pile.

You may play as many Item cards as you like during your turn (before your attack).

Nintendo announced improved versions of the 3DS during their Nintendo Direct today: they are called the "New Nintendo 3DS" and "New Nintendo 3DS LL." Both models will be released in Japan on October 11th, with the regular model costing 16,000 yen and the larger model costing 18,800 yen.

The new models will sport a new C-stick on the right side for dual analog control (based on the Gamecube's C-stick), new shoulder buttons located next to the L and R buttons (called XL and XR), increased CPU and RAM, better battery life, a MicroSD slot, and screen sizes 1.2x larger than the originals. The new models will now make use of the camera to track your head movement, allowing for wider 3D viewing angles (instead of just having a small "sweet spot"). The bottom screen will also support NFC (near field communication), which will allow the systems to interact with the upcoming Amiibo NFC figures.

In terms of design, the buttons have been recolored to match the SNES controller colors. Like the Gameboy Micro, interchangeable face plates can also be used to change the look of your model. The game cart slot has also been moved from the back of the models to the front.

According to a U.S. Toys R Us ad, those who preorder copies of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire together will be entitled to a free Charizard plush. The ad states the plush has a value of $22.99, but does not provide a picture. When you pick up your games on release day, you will receive the plush. This is perfect for parents who want to buy a copy of both games for their kids, as they can now fight to the death over who gets to keep the Charizard (like when Cool Porygon came packaged with the N64 and I tackled my two younger brothers to the floor to keep it :D).

As revealed several weeks ago, if you preorder one copy of ORAS at Gamestop, you will receive a double-sided poster featuring this Mega Diancie artwork on one side and this Primal Kyogre and Groudon artwork on the other.

Thanks to SereneFrost72, we now have photos of the "Elite Trainer Deck Shield" tins we first posted about in May. The tins come in two designs, featuring either Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y or Xerneas and Yveltal (one Pokemon on each side). They should be released in stores soon.

As stated previously, each tin comes can fit a deck inside, comes with two booster packs (XY and Flashfire), and has a storage compartment in the lid to hold dice and damage counters (not included). The storage compartment is a "tin within a tin," fitting inside the top, which you then cover with the tin's lid. The compartment can hold more dice than what comes in an Elite Trainer Box. The tin can also hold more than a sleeved 60 card deck.

A metal case called the "Pokemon TCG Treasure Tin" will be released in November to celebrate the release of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire! Each treasure tin will come with five booster packs, three holo Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip "preview cards," a coin, two sticker sheets featuring Legendary Pokemon (likely Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon), a mini-album to store cards, a Pokemon notepad, and four pencils with unique Pokemon designs. This is a brand new product, so its pricing is currently unknown.

The holo cards are called "preview cards" in the product description, which is the same description that has been used in the past for cards being released ahead of an upcoming set or set block. In other words, the Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip cards will most likely be "previewing" a new Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire set (undoubtedly releasing in February). Since Phantom Forces comes out in November when the ORAS games come out (and the set is not specifically promoting them), this ORAS TCG product is meant to "hold over" fans until a February ORAS set.
