EDIT: Fixed some errors in the set list that were caused by me pasting cards into the database incorrectly - everything should be correct now.

The set list for Majestic Dawn is now up! Card scans should be available here tonight starting at around 8:00 PM, though it could be much earlier or much later depending on several factors. Be sure to check back!

The Majestic Dawn card sleeves given out at next week's prereleases will feature Leafeon and Glaceon on a teal background. Leafeon is a solid yellowish-green, while Glaceon is cyan-colored. Both Pokemon are on the same sleeve - not one set of sleeves for each.

Majestic Dawn scans, its set list, and the theme deck lists should be posted here sometime this weekend, possibly tonight (though more likely tomorrow). Keep checking back here, and be sure to subscribe to our new RSS feed so you are notified when a news update is posted!

To find a Majestic Dawn prerelease near you, or for more information on attending one, check out the prereleases links in the 2008 calendar (in the right menu).

Pokemon Puzzle League, originally for Nintendo 64, will be available for download on Monday (at 9:00 AM PST) for 1000 Wii Points ($10.00). This is the second Pokemon title available for the Virtual Console on the Wii, the first being Pokemon Snap.

(1) Three midterms + big Humanities essay + no Pokemon news + general craziness =less updates. (2) All of the news stories from April have been removed from the main page; I will put them into a news archive once I figure out how. (3) In case you did not understand the previous news story about a "majestic dawn," we will have Majestic Dawn scans sometime this weekend (possibly Saturday night). Stay tuned!

The Pokemon blog AAPF has discovered names of new Pokemon forms in a Japanese trademark database - "sky form" and "land form," both of which were registered on February 20th after Giratina's "origin form" and "another form" six days earlier. Since Pokemon names and "terms" have to be trademarked to prevent other companies from using them, they must be registered in advance, and thus finding these trademarks usually indicates their use in future Pokemon mediums (though sometimes, trademarks are registered "in case" Nintendo decides to use them, meaning nothing may come out of them).

Seeing as how Shaymin is referred to in movie 11 as the "bouquet from the sky," is shown glowing in several of the movie trailers as if transforming, and in one shot is in the air (while its flowers glow), it may not be farfetched to conclude it has a new sky form. If this is the case, "land form" probably refers to the Shaymin we already know. Of course, this is pure speculation, and cannot be confirmed until the movie is released and all of this crazy "New Pokemon / forms" news ends.

The 10-day meteorological forecast seems to be predicting that sometime this weekend, a rare majestic dawn will occur. The last time one took place was three months ago. We will most likely have photos of this event late on Sunday or early on Monday, and continuing throughout the week as they are developed.

All of this "New Pokemon / form" stuff is starting to get tiring... I'm starting to feel like we are one of those celebrity magazines who cover gossip and rumors.

Remember this pen news story about Shaymin potentially having an alternate form, like Giratina? There is now new evidence to suggest that it could be true.

Bangiras has translated the contents of a new "Pokemon Diorama World" product (pictured below; click for a larger image) from a press release. A diorama is a sort of toy set where you put certain pieces together to make a scene. The contents of the diorma press release have a rather interesting thing listed.

A Pokemon diorama with Shaymin origin form?
  1. Giratina (Origin Form) + Reverse World parts x2 + gray plate x4
  2. Dialga + Reverse World parts + gray Battle Stage
  3. Regigigas + Flower field parts + green plate x4
  4. Pokemon A + Flower Field parts + green Battle Stage
  5. Shaymin (Origin Form) + Reverse World parts x2 + gray plate x4
  6. Pikachu + Flower Field parts x2 + green plate x4
  7. Piplup + Ice Mountain parts x2 + blue plate x4
  8. Dawn + Ice Mountain parts + Pokemon Center
  9. Pokemon A + tall mountain parts

Notice how the product lists Shaymin (Figure #5) as having an origin form? That Shaymin is shown in the picture above, but is the exact same Shaymin we all know from Diamond and Pearl. Could the product be suggesting that the Shaymin we have known for the past two years is already in its origin (alternate) form, and that its real form will be revealed in the movie?

A Pokemon diorama with Shaymin origin form?

Here is another interesting fact which may disprove this entire news story (it's like you read this all for nothing if what is about to be said turns out to be true). Although Shaymin is listed in the product press release as having an origin form, the Shaymin shown in the actual product image (pictured right) just says "Shaymin." Furthermore, Bangiras checked Google for this product and discovered press release descriptions that just stated "Shaymin," without the "Origin Form" part (although some of those websites also just stated "Giratina"). Is it possible that the toy company official who wrote the press release that Bangiras translated copy and pasted the "Giratina (Origin Form)" line for Shaymin's slot (since they have the same parts), replaced Giratina's name with Shaymin's, but forgot to remove the "Origin Form" part? The other websites, which do not have a time stamp on any of their pages, may have the corrected press release where "Origin Form" is not present next to Shaymin because it's an error that was fixed. Whether or not the "Origin Form" part for Shaymin is intentional or unintentional is unknown at this point, but because Shaymin is labeled as simply "Shaymin" in the image to the right may have already disproved this entire news story before you could even begin to speculate!

When are we ever going to get a 100% confirmation that a new Pokemon or form exists?!

An RSS Feed has now been added to the site. If you use Firefox or an RSS syndication program, you can get instant notifications of when a news story is posted here (at least, that's what I have been told in learning about what RSS is and in adding it to this site during the past two hours :p).

EDIT (5:00 PM): I mistook the poster in the upper right hand of the puzzle packaging as this page from CoroCoro (guess that's what happens when you write a story at 2-3 in the morning). It is now very likely that there is a new Pokemon behind those white boxes, at least if the evidence turns out to be true to what it says.

New Pokemon Covered on Puzzle Packaging

A set of new Pokemon jigsaw puzzles has possibly provided more evidence to suggest that at least one new Pokemon will premiere in Giratina and the Bouquet from the Icy Sky, Shaymin. The manufacturer product image of the puzzle packaging was released on the internet just last night. Each puzzle package comes with one random puzzle out of a possible six. On the product packaging, each of the potential puzzles you can receive is shown.

As you can on the product image to the right (click it for a larger image), two of the puzzle image previews have white boxes covering part of their images. What do the white boxes say? "A New Pokemon Makes Its Appearance!" Since Giratina (both forms), Shaymin, Dialga, and many other Pokemon associated with the movie are shown on the product packaging, the Pokemon being covered up is probably new, although the next paragraph could disprove that.

Although this evidence seems solid, it should be noted that the top right image that is covered up is actually a puzzle of one of the movie posters that has already been revealed. Behind the white box covering the image is Shaymin, meaning that for that puzzle, the "New Pokemon" is not new. Covering the top right image may just be a mistake, with the bottom puzzle (showing Pikachu running) actually containing the new Pokemon. However, if the manufacturer thought Shaymin was new and covered up both boxes because they contained it (without seeing the other Shaymin in the bottom right puzzle image, which is not covered up), this "New Pokemon" speculation could be a mistake for this particular product. Come June, we should know if these puzzles actually have a new Pokemon, but until then, we can't know for sure!

The official Pokemon Norwegian site has now posted Empoleon's card image! Click the thumbnail below for a larger image. Empoleon, like many other Majestic Dawn cards, comes from the Japanese Entry Pack 2008 Deluxe package. Other cards from the set will come from DP4 and DP5 too, and you can view translations of those cards under "Japanese Spoiler Translations" in the left menu under "T.C.G."
