Update #2 (8:30 AM, Friday): The movie website has updated with the trailer, downloadable wallpaper, and the movie poster. | Update (3:00 PM): Added movie poster below thanks to Heerosferret. The movie 13 trailer just aired in Japan - the title of the film is "The Ruler of Illusion: Z." The movie will debut in theaters on July 10th in Japan. The trailer shows Suicune, Entei, Raikou, and Celebi. After showing the legendaries, we see Ash with a surprised expression, and the camera pans to another Ash grinning evilly. Could "Z" be the first letter of a new Pokemon's name? Who knows! Thanks go to Heerosferret for the translation and uploading the trailer literally seconds after it aired! Expect a higher-quality trailer tomorrow on the official movie website. ![]()

Nintendo of Korea has announced that HeartGold and SoulSilver will be released on February 4th in Korea. Considering that countries outside of Japan have never released the main games before the United States, it's possible we'll see the two remakes here before that date or around the same time. Then again, we thought Arceus and the Jewel of Life would air in America first, but Australia ended up airing it a few weeks before us. Additionally, the TCG sets have historically come out a month before or a month after the games they are based on; the HeartGold & SoulSilver TCG set will hit store shelves February 10th. The beginning of January is too early to release the games, so perhaps Nintendo is going to use the TCG set to generate hype and awareness in February, then release the games in March for maximum sales. The only exception to this rough one-month pattern was EX Emerald, which was released eight days after Pokemon Emerald. Theories, patterns, theories, patterns!

The Pokemon movie blog has posted that on Friday, the Japanese TV program Oha Suta will reveal "something" about the next Pokemon movie. Kouichi Yamadera, who is known for providing his voice to at least one character in every Pokemon movie, will present the information on the show. It will probably be a new trailer, as December is always the time when the first real trailers are released. So far, the only information we know about the movie is that it will feature Lugia and Ho-Oh and is based on locations in Holland and Belgium.

Update (9:30 AM, Wednesday): Both Lawrence Neves, Pokemon's editorial director, and Dave Schwimmer, one of POP's managers, have confirmed the account is fake. TPCi is trying to get it removed from Twitter now. It looks like TPCi is gettin' hip and with the times, yo. The Pokemon Company International recently opened up a

The Pokemon Rumble promo set based on the video game of the same name is now available to demo at Pokemon Leagues. Active Pokemon Leagues should be receiving one package for players to experiment with. The set consists of 16 cards, three of which are holo. All of the cards are actually printed on holographic paper, though the holo background only shows through on the Pokemon Rumble logos. The scans and instructions for the promo set are available in the first link of this news story; thanks go to Sceptileblade411 from our forums for scanning them and Shakespeare for editing them. Ugliest Pokemon artwork of the year goes to Pikachu, pictured right! Its ears are detached from its body! The cards use the same art from the WiiWare game. One of the pages says the package will be available in stores on December 2nd, but I haven't heard of any sightings yet. Playing it looks fun, almost like turning Pokemon cards into a real card game like Uno. Any Pokemon card is compatible with the game, not just the ones included in this set. It is simple to play and seems to be a great way to introduce players to the TCG (which may be the intention of sending one package to each League). Each package retails for ten bucks and comes with one Battle Royale playmat, four energy dice, one target die, fourteen player markers (two per player), and sixteen cards. Check it out!

Pokemon Card Laboratory has launched their Worlds 2009 website, which contains photos and videos of the event from this past August. If you were there, chances are you are somewhere on the site. The website itself is an impressive piece of workmanship, using Flash to pull off some impressive animations. Check it out!

Update (7:00 PM): Added second paragraph. The official press release for HeartGold & SoulSilver has been released. It contains information we already discovered a few weeks ago, though we do find out the theme deck names. The English set is the equivalent of Japan's LEGEND: HeartGold and SoulSilver. The press release states the set will have only 120 cards. The Japanese set had 150 cards, plus an additional 14 promos associated with it, so 44 cards will be cut. Counting the Slowking (Prime) promo, three Pokemon Prime cards are up for the chopping block. It looks like our second English HGSS set will consist of the 44 cut cards, plus the 54 cards from the Battle Starter Decks and Expert Deck Leafeon vs. Metagross and possibly some of the more recent Japanese promos such as Raichu (Prime). Then, Revived Legends, along with its Tyranitar and Steelix theme decks, could be our third HGSS set in August. ![]()

See? SEE?! "Promo Tuesday!" If you participate in a City Championship this season you will receive a reverse holo Gible promo reprint from Supreme Victors. The card is printed on the same holofoil paper as the Pokemon League promos. Click the thumbnail below for a larger image; thanks go to Kirbypopstarhero for the photo. This most likely means Gabite will be the State Championship promo while Garchomp will be the Nationals promo.
