As per my schedule this week, I won't be updating probably until Friday. :p

April 22nd Release Date Gone? - Pokemon.com posted on Monday afternoon that the release date for Diamond and Pearl would be April 22nd. However, the date on the Diamond and Pearl page has now been completely removed! Could this mean the date was wrong, that it should have not been revealed this early, or what? Hopefully, we will find out soon...

Depending on my amount of homework tonight, I may add to this update.

Diamond and Pearl Release Date - Diamond and Pearl, the next generation of Pokemon games, will be released on April 22nd, according to Pokemon.com. This now explains why the TCG will not have [Pokemon Card Game: DP] released in February, but EX Power Keepers instead - the set would have come out too early!

Christmas vacation in seven days and counting.

ManaphyPokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea - The title of the next Pokemon movie, named "Pokemon Ranger and the Prince of the Sea: Manaphy" in Japanese, will be called Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea. Funny how PUSA kept the title almost exactly the same from the Japanese version. Speaking of Manaphy, Pokemon.com has promised that within a month, they will release a secret password for Pokemon Ranger so that fans can unlock the Manaphy mission, play it, and then get the Manaphy egg (which you will then transfer to Diamond and Pearl when they come out so that you can hatch it). Speaking of Diamond and Pearl, Pokemon.com has also released a teaser page on the games, which can be found by clicking here.

EDIT #2: Dosidon, Erlade, Fione, and Yonowahru have been added to the [Ken Sugimori Pokemon images] page. Speaking of Fione, we should be finding out tomorrow why the Manaphy egg has been randomly floating around on Pokemon.com.

EDIT #1: I have added new Ken Sugimori artwork of Mikaruge (#442) and Gabite (#444) to the [Ken Sugimori Pokemon images] page.

Check the previous update from this morning if you have not been here.

Actual Pokemon Battle Revolution Battles - Someone on YouTube has posted several Pokemon Battle Revolution videos of actual battles. Click play to view each of them below. Yukimenoko looks awesome, the new Seismic Toss animation is absolutely amazing, and the stadiums are great settings!

Dialga vs. PalkiaI will add to this update later.

Pokemon Movie 10 - The official Pokemon Japanese movie website has been updated for the 10th Pokemon movie, Dialga vs. Palkia. On the website you can see the first teaser trailer, where Dialga and Palkia battle each other. The movie is set to come out on July 14th.

Wow, three updates in a row. I haven't been this free in a while, have I? Let's see how long this lasts. :p

Lucario Lv.XLucario Lv.X - The most common Level X card, yet one that has not been seen on the internet yet, has now been revealed! Lucario Lv.X is now available in Japan as a promo card in the "Pokemon Card Game DP Official Visual Book," which can be seen by clicking here. Since the book is available for purchase by anyone in Japan, Lucario Lv.X is an extremely common card, and is by no means as rare as the other Lv.X cards in [Pokemon Card Game: DP]. You can view the translation of Lucario Lv.X below, thanks to Nanimonoka, as well as an image of Lucario Lv.X to the right, thanks to Tego (click for a larger image).

Lucario Lv.X - Fighting - 110 HP
Poke-Power: Ascertain
Once during your turn, when you play Lucario Lv.X from your hand to Level Up one of your Pokemon, you may use this Power. Prevent all effects of an attack (including damage) done to Lucario during your opponent's next turn.

[F][F][C] Infighting: 80 damage. During your opponent's next turn, any damage done to Lucario is increased by 30.

Weakness: Psychic (x2)
Retreat: 1

Pokemon TV Schedule this Week - This week, as with the past few weeks, Pokemon will depute new Battle Frontier episodes Monday through Thursday at 8:00 PM on Cartoon Network. Saturday at 7:00 AM and at 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM on Sunday, repeat Battle Frontier episodes will also air, so if you missed any, those are the times to catch them! Pokemon Advanced Battle episodes also air at 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM every Monday through Thursday. The exciting aspect to Pokemon USA speeding through the Battle Frontier episodes is that on Monday, December 18th, the episode featuring Perap should air if they keep the same pace, and we may learn Perap's English name (I have a slight feeling it will stay the same, but that's just me). Perhaps I will get some episodes up eventually, but since my time has been extremely limited lately, I cannot guarantee or promise it anymore.

Those who see the eyes of that Pokemon will lose their memory, never to return. Those who touch that Pokemon will lose their emotions for three days. Those who harm that Pokemon will not be able to move for seven days, and will be unable to do anything. So the legend says...

Yuxie, Emurit, AgnomeNext Diamond and Pearl Set Information - We now have information on the next Diamond and Pearl set to come out in Japan in March! The set will feature the three lakes of Sinnoh, which are the Lake of Wisdom, the Lake of Trust, and the Lake of Aspiration, as well as the three legendary Pokemon that reside in the lakes, which are Yuxie (God of Knowledge), Emurit (God of Emotion), and Agnome (God of Will). The two theme decks will feature the Pokemon Trideps and Rampard, and will include fossil Pokemon found in the underground regions of Sinnoh. The main set, as with [Pokemon Card Game: DP], will contain cards from the theme decks, but this time, there will be alternate art for repeated cards included in the set (I wonder how this will be handled when the set comes to America). There will also be three more Pokemon Lv.X cards in the set, although we do not know which at this time. The most interesting tidbit of information about this set is that some Pokemon will combine with Pokemon Tool cards, similar to how Holon Pokemon combined with energy cards, so this will yet again bring a new mechanic to the game. Thanks go to Vincent for translating the above information, and TRUK for finding some of the information. For the sake of referring to this set, we will call it Pokemon Card Game: DP 2, since as of now, we do not know the set's name. Stay tuned, as we will bring you all of the latest information on this set!

New Sugimori Art Added - With help from nYoo, I have added thirty new Diamond and Pearl [Ken Sugimori] images to our [Pokemon Images] gallery. Check them out! Also, several new Pokemon that have not had their individual Ken Sugimori art released can be seen on this magazine cover page, including Glacia, Leafia, Togekiss, and others.

Random news: Water may have been discovered on Mars today, and 4Kids is no longer dubbing One Piece. Once the ACT is over tomorrow, I will be freeeee to work on the website (maybe). Thanks goes to Cascade_Gon_Pory for the Delibird artwork in the header!

Premier Ratings FAQ and Invitation to Worlds - The official Pokemon TCG website has put up a Premier Ratings FAQ, explaining how the rating system works, clearing up misconceptions, and telling us how to get into Worlds. From the document, we know that at least 15 people will get into Worlds from the Senior Division, as well as 21 people from the Junior and Senior Divisions (not including people who make it in through the Grinders or do well at Nationals - this is just for the rankings). From the United States, only eight people from the Senior Division and twelve people from the Junior and Senior divisions will go to Worlds (again, this is only for rankings). [transition -> extreme informalness] This will by far be the smallest Worlds ever, unless of course POP allows a couple hundred people in through the Grinders / Nationals. :p I usually don't call myself a whiner or try to throw my opinion into news stories, but WHAT THE FUDGE?! I miss Organized Play from the Ruby and Sapphire days when there were loads of prizes at pre-releases and tournaments were more fun; plus, more people could get into Worlds. Now it's almost impossible to get in, unless you challenge every high-ranking player in the country (we could turn this into an Anime like Yu-Gi-Oh - I WILL find Yami Yugi and take him down! I will find Jason Klaczynski and all other top-ranking players and take them down! I will travel to the ends of each country and challenge these players with my super-dooper Blue Eyes, White Dragon [or whatever you call it] deck!) Bah. I hope POP knows what it's doing... all we need is another WOTC extinction. I love going to tournaments to play people and all, but where is my incentive now? This season = disappointment (so far). Then again, the page does say the rules are subject to change, and we still don't know how many people POP will let in through the Grinders and Nationals, so we'll see... Perhaps Nationals will be pumped up to such an awesome degree that it will offset these new changes.

More Scans Up! - Thanks to Shakespeare, as usual, we now have the following set scans up (digitally remastered). Some of the scans are the older, pre-release scans, and only about two are missing out of all of the below sets, but we will have all of the poor quality / missing scans up for viewing by Monday:

  • [EX Team Rocket Returns]
  • [EX Deoxys]
  • [EX Emerald]
  • [EX Unseen Forces]
  • [EX Delta Species] (already up from a previous update, but we'll just throw it in here)
  • [EX Legend Maker]

School = craziness, and this week won't be much better (ACT, IB World Literature Paper, IB Extended Essay Rough Draft, etc). I anticipate the craziness will continue until Christmas.

More Scans - We add to our art museum today (thanks to a donation from the Shakespeare Company) with ye olden:

  • [EX Team Magma vs. Team Aqua]
  • [EX Hidden Legends]
  • [EX FireRed and LeafGreen]

We had these scans before, but they have now been re-edited and digitally re-mastered for superior picture quality and sound.

New D/P TCG Videos - The Japanese Pokemon TCG website has been updated with two new commercials advertising [Pokemon Card Game: DP]. You can see the videos under "CMが見られるよ!" and "CMが見られるよ!"

Battle Revolution Media - Five new videos have surfaced for Pokemon Battle Revolution, including new screenshots from the game. You can view the first video, which shows several battles, by clicking here (or saving the link to your computer and opening it in Windows Media Player. The second video shows the interactivity of the Nintendo DS and Wii, and you can view the video by clicking here. The final set of videos shows extremely short segments of attacks, and are available on the official Japanese Battle Revolution website. More screenshots from the game are also located on this page. That's a lot of media!
