Interviewing Mr. Hidaka Tomorrow!

Mr. Hidaka’s translator called me just now and said I could interview him outside of the convention at 12:00 PM tomorrow for around 30-45 minutes. My mom has graciously agreed to take me, so I’m going for sure! Here are a list of questions I will be asking based on what people have posted on our forums. I will think of my own questions on the way there.

• What happened to the GS Ball? Was it just a plot device that was meant to be dropped from the beginning?
• Do you know anything about the Kadabra and Uri Gueller incident?
• Can you tell us anything about Pokemon Platinum? How long did you guys know about it before we did? When will the anime begin to follow its storyline?
• Will we ever see the Porygon line in the show again?
• Are we going to see any of Ash’s old Pokemon anytime soon?
• Trick question: So, what will Arceus’ role in the 12th movie entail?
• Is there going to be a Gold and Silver remake?
• When will Arceus be officially acknowledged?
• Will any other Pokemon have new forms?
• What’s the deal with Jesse and James? Are they ever going to settle down? Are they ever going to stop chasing Pikachu?
• When is the 5th generation coming out?
• Will there be a 5th generation Pokemon in movie 11?
• How do you choose which Pokemon the main characters capture? How do you choose which Pokemon to evolve?
• How long does it take to make an episode? How long does each process take?
• How much longer the show will go on for? (I think he already answered this in my first interview – he said something like the audience is constantly replaced with new people, so they can have the same plot over and over to continue it forever).
• Why don’t any characters own legendaries?
• Why did Raikou not get its own movie? Why a special?
• Do the writers know about fan shipping and acknowledge them in the plot sometimes?
• What do you think of 4Kids changing one of the villains in the Raikou special from male to female?
