Extended 14th Movies Trailer, Different Composers for Each Movie
Update (12:30 AM, Saturday): There was no “next movie preview” after the movies like with many Pokemon movies of the past. The end of each movie simply advertised the opposite movie. | Gin will be seeing both movies the day they premiere and we’ll post the summaries as soon as she writes them!
A new Victini and the White Hero Reshiram and Victini and the Black Hero Zekrom trailer has been released, which you can watch below; thanks goes to Filb.de for recording it. Victini has been locked away in the Sword of the Earth castle for 1,000 years following the death of its Trainer. Victini hopes to one day be able to go to the sea (in one of the movie’s first teaser trailers, we saw Victini flying over the sea, so it’ll obviously make it). Dread, the “bad guy,” wants Victini so that he can revive the People of the Earth’s kingdom.
According to Junichi Masuda’s blog, the soundtracks for both movies were created by two different composers. Apparently, Shinji Miyazaki, Pokemon’s music composer, oversaw the process. However, we’re not sure if he actually wrote the music this time – guess we’ll find out soon! Maybe they want new blood for the music? It must be hard to compose new themes for the same franchise after thirteen movies and fourteen television seasons.
