2011-12 Pokemon League Themed After Unova Gyms; New Professor Item

The 2011-2012 Pokemon League will begin in late September, and this year, each season will be themed after the Gyms of Unova. The Trio Badge season will be the first and will take place from September 26th to October 30th, obviously featuring the Striaton Gym. Players can win a pin shaped like the Trio Badge (replacing last year’s patches), a holo Grass Energy, and a Lillipup promo (since all three Gym Leaders use Lillipup). We’re not sure if the card is a set reprint or a unique promo considering the Lillipup from the Cobalion Strength Deck was the only card from those decks left out of Emerging Powers, so only time will tell! We should have scans of these League prizes in a few weeks.

On a semi-related note, the Professor store has been updated with a new item: dice! The description reads, “This 12 count cube of dice feature translucent six sided die with the Professor program logo on the ‘6’.” The dice (die? – plural?) cost 15 points.
