Worlds 2013 to be Held at the Vancouver Convention Centre

According to Pete de Shaw from TPCi, Worlds 2013 will be held at the Vancouver Convention Centre from August 9th to 11th. Specifically, the tournament will take place on the east side of the facility, which sits on a pier and features a sail-like roof. This will be the first time Worlds has not been held at a Hilton hotel since 2004; perhaps TPCi’s contract with them expired and now Worlds can be held at new locations?

As we noted earlier, Vancouver is the inspiration for LaRousse City in the Destiny Deoxys movie. It is also where the 2010 Winter Olympics was held (we say “also” for this sentence instead of “also” for the Deoxys sentence because we’re a Pokemon website :p).
