XY Demo at Pokemon Game Show Event

A Pokemon X and Y demo is currently being showcased at the Pokemon Game Show event in Japan. Although the demo shows off new content, nothing too groundbreaking was revealed. Much of the demo content, as always, is just for promotional purposes and will not be in the final game (such as Professor Sycamore giving you a Mewtwo – it’s just part of the demo to teach you about Mega Evolution).

  • To Mega Evolve, you hit a “Mega Evolution” button on the battle screen. You can still attack in the same turn.
  • Fennekin can learn Psybeam.
  • Friendliness, Hunger, and Play are three of Pokemon Amie’s stats. The food used in Pokemon Amie is called Pofule.
  • You now run by default.

What appears to be a screenshot of a new Pokemon game is also on display at the event. Could it be for the Wii U?
