New English ORAS Trailer, Demo Confirmed, Character Details
A new English OR/AS trailer has revealed new details about the CoroCoro information from this week. Primal Groudon‘s Ability is named “Desolate Land,” which creates “extremely harsh sunlight.” Water-type moves become ineffective and weather-changing moves do not work. Its new attack is named “Precipice Blades.” Primal Kyogre‘s Ability is “Primordial Sea,” which creates heavy rain, makes Fire-type moves ineffective, and also prevents weather-changing moves. Its new attack is named “Origin Pulse.” Both Abilities last until the Pokemon is switched out.
The demo version has also been confirmed for English release, as you can read below the video. No release date has been announced yet.

Furthermore, new character descriptions for the new Mega Evolutions and Team Magma and Aqua were posted by Pokemon.com. The descriptions reveal more fleshed-out goals for the two villainous teams, with Team Aqua now wanting to expand the seas for Pokemon’s benefit and Team Magma wanting to expand the land for humanity’s development.
Mega Camerupt: The humps on its back have transformed into one large and very active volcano. Magma is constantly bubbling up from within its body. It has a deep hatred of water or any moisture, and has an explosive personality and a short temper. The volcano on its back erupts constantly in an effort to intimidate its foes.
When it Mega Evolves, its Ability changes to Sheer Force. It grows stronger, and any moves that can have additional effects will grow in power—but it’s important to keep in mind that they will no longer be able to trigger their additional effects! Most of its stats are uniformly raised, but its Speed does drop. Try to think of strategies based on the likelihood of being second to act in battle.
Mega Sharpedo: The fangs in Mega Sharpedo’s mouth have transformed, and the horns that have sprouted from its nose can be regrown countless times. The yellow patterns on its body are scars carved into it in battle. With explosive propulsion, it can exceed 125 mph in an instant.
When it Mega Evolves, all of its stats see a boost, and its already high Attack is whetted still further. In addition, Mega Sharpedo gains the Strong Jaw Ability, which raises the power of biting attacks. Have it learn moves that will take advantage of this aggressive Ability!
Mega Gallade: Plates emerge on Gallade’s arms, and the helmet and cape-like protrusions on its head and back give it a knightly appearance. When the situation demands, Mega Gallade can use its psychic power to reshape both arms into blades simultaneously, and fight using a dual-wielding style.
When it Mega Evolves, its Ability changes to Inner Focus, so it’s protected from flinching. Its Attack and Speed stats improve, making this a Pokémon likely to excel at first-strike strategies.
Maxie: Maxie is the leader of Team Magma, the team seeking a world ideal for humanity. He pays attention to even the smallest of details, and is quite sensitive in some regards. He has a habit of describing situations in numerical terms. He possesses a cool-headed outlook, thinking that some sacrifices cannot be avoided if he is to achieve his goals.
Team Magma is an organization that plots to increase the landmass on the planet, effectively adding to the area upon which humanity can labor to achieve even greater evolution and development. Believing that humanity’s development will lead to greater happiness for all the world, the members of Team Magma think that laboring for the equal coexistence of humanity and Pokémon is a foolish idea that serves only to hold back humanity’s progress.
Archie: Archie is the leader of Team Aqua, a man with an unwavering heart who seeks to build an ideal home for Pokémon. His big-hearted and stirring personality has won him deep loyalty from his subordinates. But he is also a dangerous figure, not caring what happens to himself or his team as long as he can achieve his goals.
Team Aqua is an organization that plots to increase the size of the oceans in an effort to bring back the rich habitats lost to Pokémon due to humanity’s greed. The ocean is the font of all life, and by restoring it, the members of Team Aqua think that they can recreate an ideal home for Pokémon.
In terms of merchandise, the soundtrack for the games will be released in Japan on December 6th. Pokemon Centers will also receive special edition New Nintendo 3DS systems themed after Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon. The systems will come with the games pre-installed.
