August’s English Set: ‘Ancient Origins’ + Tyrantrum-EX & Shiny Rayquaza-EX Boxes!

XY7: Ancient Origins

The name of America’s XY7 set will be Ancient Origins and it is set to be released on August 12th! The set is our English equivalent of Japan’s Bandit Ring, of which we know very little about at this point. And like the Japanese set, we don’t know anything else about the English set.

Tyrantrum-EX Box

Releasing alongside Ancient Origins is a new “Tyrantrum-EX Box,” which will feature Tyrantrum-EX as both a holo promo and jumbo card and four booster packs. Tyrantrum-EX was just released in Japan this week along with some other Gym Challenge promos.

Basic Pokemon

Ability: Tyrant Fang
Damage from this Pokemon’s attacks isn’t affected by any effects on your opponent’s Active Pokemon.

[F][M][M][C] Dragon Impact: 190 damage. Discard 3 Energy attached to this Pokemon.

When a Pokemon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Weakness: Fairy (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 3

Shiny Rayquaza-EX Box

Coming in September will also be a “Shiny Rayquaza-EX Box,” which will obviously include the shiny Rayquaza-EX promo from Emerald Break‘s mail-in campaign. Oddly, regular-colored Rayquaza-EX is also being released in June via the “Rayquaza-EX Box.” Perhaps the September box will have a figure to distinguish it from the first one?
