‘Mewtwo Strikes Back’ Returning to Movie Theaters for a Limited Time!
It’s time to relive the ’90s and Pokemon’s fad days!
The Pokemon Company has announced that Mewtwo Strikes Back will be returning to the big screen on Saturday, October 29th and Tuesday, November 1st! It will play at over 200 Cinemark theaters throughout the United States. Tickets will only cost $5. Its mini-movie, Pikachu’s Vacation, will also be shown before the start of the film.
This is the first time the movie has played on the big screen since its original U.S. run in November 1999. The movie has been remastered since then, so it should look even better!
You can preorder tickets for some of the Cinemark locations here. Once all of the locations are announced, you will likely be able to buy your tickets in person too.
I wonder how many Pokemon fans who saw the movie when they were 10 will be taking their own children to see it? I also wonder if this screening is some kind of test to gauge how well a Pokemon movie will do in theaters since we have a live-action movie coming up.
