‘Pokemon Gold’ and ‘Silver’ Coming to Virtual Console in September!

As expected, Pokemon will be releasing Gold and Silver for the 3DS Virtual Console on September 22nd! They will be compatible with Pokemon Bank.

The games will also have the Time Capsule function like the original Gameboy Color versions. With the Time Capsule function, you will be able to trade between the Virtual Console releases of Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, and Silver.

The games were originally released on November 21st, 1999 in Japan and then on October 15th, 2000 in America.
