Exclusive Holo Promos in ‘Cinnamon Toast Crunch’ Cereal

Heavily processed, packed with sugar, and a potential cause of childhood obesity, the latest edition of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereals are now carrying special Pokemon TCG promo booster packs!

Each booster pack comes with three of twelve reprinted cards, with one of the three cards guaranteed to be a holo card.

While eight of the twelve cards are common reprints from sets, there are four holo Sun & Moon black star promo cards which are reprinted on an exclusive holofoil paper: Rowlet, Litten, Popplio, and Pikachu. These four cards are thus exclusive to this product, but luckily you’ll get at least one of them in each booster pack.

The holofoil for these cards has unique circular patterns which have never before been used on Pokemon cards.

Each box of cereal runs about $3. It’ll probably take four to six boxes to get all four of the holo cards, or about $20.

The last time Pokemon partnered with a cereal brand was way back in 2000. But those cereals didn’t come with cards or any goodies, they were just Lucky Charms with a Pokemon theme. In the 2000’s, Pokemon also occasionally packaged CD’s in some cereals, such as the old PokeROM educational CD’s and even the “Pokemon Play It!” TCG game. This is thus the first time in over 15 years that Pokemon has been featured on cereals!
