‘Team Up’ Booster Packs, Theme Decks, Promos!

We’ve received the first images of SM9 Team Up‘s products, including the booster packs, theme decks, and promo blisters!

The booster packs feature Mitsuhiro Arita artwork of Venusaur & Celebi-GX, Pikachu & Zekrom-GX, Gengar & Mimikyu-GX, and Eevee & Snorlax-GX.

The theme decks will feature Charizard and Blastoise:

Charizard – Fire – HP150
Stage 2 – Evolves from Charmeleon

Ability: Addicting Drive
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may put 2 damage counters on this Pokemon. If you do, search your deck for up to 2 [R] Energy cards and attach them to this Pokemon. Then, shuffle your deck.

[R][R] Continuous Blaze Ball: 30+ damage. Discard all [R] Energy from this Pokemon. This attack does 50 more damage for each card you discarded in this way.

Blastoise – Water – HP160
Stage 2 – Evolves from Wartortle

Ability: Power Squall
Once your during turn (before your attack), you may look at the top 6 cards of your deck. Choose as many [W] Energy cards you find there as you like and attach them to your Pokemon in any way you like. Then, shuffle the other cards back into your deck.

[W][W][W] Hydro Tackle: 150 damage. This Pokemon does 30 damage to itself.

The three-pack promo blisters will feature Deoxys and Ultra Necrozma, both of which were Gym promos in Japan:

Basic Pokemon

Ability: Power Suction
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may move an Energy from 1 of your Pokemon to 1 of your Deoxys.

[P][P][C] Psycho Boost: 100 damage. During your next turn, this Pokemon’s Psycho Boost’s base damage is 50.

Ultra Necrozma – Dragon – HP130
Basic Pokemon (Ultra Beast)

[P][P][M][M] Shining Burst: 100+ damage. If together both players have 6 or less Prize cards remaining, discard all Energy attached to this Pokemon. If you do, this attack does 100 more damage.

Resistance: none
Retreat: 3

And finally, the one-pack blisters will feature Pikachu and Mimikyu from the “It’s Mimikyu Campaign Card Box Set.”

Mimikyu – Fairy – HP70
Basic Pokemon

[Y] Mimic: Shuffle your hand into your deck. Then, draw a number of cards equal to the number of cards in your opponent’s hand.

[Y][C] Play Rough: 20+ damage. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 20 more damage.

Pikachu – Lightning – HP60
Basic Pokemon

[C] Nuzzle: Flip a coin. If heads, your opponent’s Active Pokemon is now Paralyzed.

[L][C] Thunder Jolt: 30 damage. This Pokemon does 10 damage to itself.

Team Up is our February set. It will include be comprised of the cards from October’s Dark Order, some new cards from November’s GX Ultra Shiny, and of course December’s SM9 Tag Bolt set.
