Second ‘Detective Pikachu’ Trailer Reveals Mewtwo!

The second trailer for Detective Pikachu has dropped! As expected, Mewtwo will appear in the film. The movie will hit theaters May 10th.

Some new Pokemon seen in the trailer include Ludicolo, Growlithe, Golurk, Snorlax, Flabebe, Loudred, Gengar, Blastoise, Cubone, and a hologram of an Eevee evolving into Flareon on a desk in front of statues of Dialga, Palkia, and Arceus.

As I reported a while ago, Mew and Mewtwo were revealed to be involved with the movie’s plot when they were mentioned in the summary for a Japanese comic book adaptation of the film. Mewtwo also had a role in the Detective Pikachu video game the film is based on.

It’s likely we’ll be getting a Mewtwo-GX Case File on March 29th, as speculated a while ago. Several Detective Pikachu TCG products are set to hit store shelves over the next few months to promote the film. One of the products features a Pokemon-GX that has purposefully been hidden by TPCi, likely because they didn’t want the TCG marketing to reveal Mewtwo is in the movie.

A new poster was also revealed.
