Solgaleo & Lunala-GX from ‘Dream League,’ Features Lillie!

Solgaleo & Lunala-GX – Psychic – HP270
Basic Pokemon (TAG TEAM)

[P][P][P][C] Cosmic Burn: 230 damage. This Pokemon can’t use Cosmic Burn during your next turn.

[P][P][C]+ Light of the Goddess: 200 damage. If you played “Lillie’s Best Effort” from your hand during this turn, during your opponent’s next turn, prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to each of your Pokemon. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.)

When your TAG TEAM is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards.

Weakness: Psychic (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2

This is the first Tag Team card that has a GX attack with no additional effect for having more Energy attached to the Pokemon. The GX attack just has a “regular” effect despite the + in the Energy cost. Strange, but maybe they kept the + for consistency’s sake?

As posted several months ago, Dream League will release in Japan on August 2nd. It will contain 49 cards (excluding secret rares). The set’s cards will be included in our Cosmic Eclipse set in November.

The set’s booster pack indicated the set would feature human Trainers. We can already see this in the artwork of Solgaleo & Lunala-GX, not to mention its attack references a new Lillie Supporter. I wonder if the set is to promote the new Pokemon Masters game as well?
