New Pokemon Officially Announced, But It’s a Glitched Image!
A few moments ago, the official Pokemon Twitter announced the discovery of a new Pokemon. Their Tweet links to the official Pokemon Sword & Shield website, but there is no new Pokemon listed next to the ones that were previously revealed.
Instead, the website shows a glitched image in the right corner. If you hover over the image, it will move a few times. Once you’re able to click it, it plays Rotom’s cry. The image is wrapped in an HTML tag named “glitch-item.” So this was obviously done on purpose.
Update: The glitched Pokemon also has its own page set up! It’s listed as a Fighting-type Pokemon with the Steadfast Ability and its Pokedex description says “Only … that have survived many battles can attain this… When this Pokemon’s …ers, it will retire from combat.” The Japanese Pokemon website also gave a partial name for this new Pokemon: (ナ イ ト nite).
What could this Pokemon be? Obviously The Pokemon Company wants to spark speculation among fans. Could it be a new Glitch Pokemon? A new glitched form of Rotom? An evolution of Farfetch’d? A Galarian Cubone? Who knows?!
