Creatures Promises Greater TCG Production, Imposes Temporary Lottery System
The official Japanese Pokemon Card website has posted two announcements regarding product shortages.
In the first one, Creatures says they’re working to strengthen their production system. They promise to eventually reprint and ship products currently experiencing shortages, including Eevee Heroes, its VMAX Special Set, its Pokemon Center set, and the Inteleon & Gengar VMAX Decks.
Their second announcement states there will be an online lottery system imposed for future stock of the aforementioned products. This is due to the Pokemon Center website crashing on May 7th when customers were attempting to preorder Eevee Heroes product. (While they don’t acknowledge it, it’s widely believed their website crashed due to scalpers using an absurd amount of bots to buy out their stock.)
Those who were unable to preorder can fill out an application from May 14th at 10 AM to May 18th at 11:59 PM. If yours is chosen by random draw, you will be notified by e-mail so you can make your purchases. E-mails will start to go out May 26th. The items will ship from mid-June to July.
Creatures also states the aforementioned products will not be sold at physical Pokemon Center stores. They’ve even removed the product pages from the Pokemon Center website. The only way to purchase the product will be through their online lottery system. However, they state it’s possible they may eventually reintroduce the products to their physical stores.
