Pokemon Releases Scary ‘Found Footage’ of a New Pokemon
TPCi has released “found footage” of a man traveling through the Hisui region. He apparently discovers a new Pokemon.
The video starts with him encountering wild Snorunt. It almost looks like he’s at the base of Mount Coronet. He tries climbing a snowy hill then encounters a place with a “mysterious air.”
He goes further in and discovers a new Pokemon that he thinks is either a Growlithe or Vulpix, but discounts them as the Pokemon. He says the tip of its tail is “red and swaying,” then it turns toward him and he says “It’s adorable… the white fur on top of its head and around its neck is so fluffy… Its eyes are round and yellow.”
(Perhaps it’s a Hisuian Growlithe or Arcanine getting ready to attack?)
At the end he screams “What’s that?”, he goes silent, we hear footsteps, and that’s the last we hear from him.
Obviously TPCi is releasing this as a tease for a new Pokemon. It could be a new regional form, the first tease of Hisuian Arcanine, or an entirely new Pokemon.
The video description states “A researcher has made a rare discovery in the Canalave Library: some mysterious footage that appears to document the landscape of the Hisui region… Please examine this footage and report back with your findings—they may prove useful during your adventures in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.” It appears the researcher who discovered the footage is different than the man who recorded the footage.
This game takes place in the past. If this video is meant to be canon, there are apparently VHS cameras in Hisui. Considering this game also has an “Arc Phone,” the people of Hisui might be more technologically advanced than their real-world counterparts. Or the game could have some time travel shenanigans.
