Single Strike Urshifu V Character Rare from ‘VMAX Climax!’
Another Character Super Rare from VMAX Climax has been spotted, this time on a poster advertising the set. Single Strike Urshifu V from Battle Styles will appear in S8b VMAX Climax with art featuring Gloria.
The following Character Rares and Character Super Rares have already been revealed:
The new cards from Japan’s VMAX Climax will most likely become part of the international Brilliant Stars set, which releases on February 25th. As we’ve noted before:
Judging by the numbering, it seems the Japanese set will have around 30 Character Rares (Flapple through Oranguru) and around 40 Character Super Rares (Blaziken V through Blissey V).
We know from the English set description that Brilliant Stars will have 30 cards in a “Trainer Gallery” subset, so we may not be seeing all 70 of them in February. TPCi may choose to split them across a few sets and release some as promos. In this case, we don’t know which ones we’ll see in Brilliant Stars.
It’s also possible TPCi is hiding the Character Super Rares from the English set description. For example, they may be counting the Character Rares as the 30 cards they mentioned. Then the 40 Character Super Rares would somehow be secret rares in our English set.
