A Worlds document has revealed we will be getting another special SWSH set!
The set is code-named SWSH12.5 and should release in early 2023. It’ll be a “mishmash” set containing unreleased cards and promos from the past two years. It should also contain cards from Japan’s VSTAR Universe, which releases in December. Since one of its source sets is releasing in December and we still haven’t seen any product listings for the set, we will likely get it in early 2023. This release window would be similar to special sets like Shining Fates.
This news was revealed through a banned card list sent to Japanese players attending Worlds. Because Worlds features players from across the globe, TPCi restricts the cards that can be used to just those released in the west. This means Japanese players can’t use any cards or alternate art reprints that haven’t released in English. Thus, they are sent a list of Japanese cards they won’t be allowed to use in their decks.
This year, however, the ban list has also revealed the English sets those cards will appear in! This has given us partial set lists for our upcoming English sets and insight into their compositions. The list also reveals Japanese cards that will eventually be turned into English promos.
A huge thanks goes to GrollenKette951 for compiling the list!
The rest of the English set should be filled in with cards from Japan’s Lost Abyss and Dark Phantasma. The Worlds document does not list cards from those sets below because none of them have released in English, so both sets are completely banned.

Unnamed SWSH12 Set
Only a few currently-released cards have been confirmed for this set, as most will have released in English by the time this set releases. They include Gym promos and some cards from the Deoxys/Zeraora decks.
The rest of the set should come from Incandescent Arcana (featuring Alolan Vulpix VSTAR), Paradigm Trigger (featuring Lugia and the Regis), and any cut cards from our Lost Origin set (meaning Dark Phantasma and Lost Abyss cards).
This set should release in English in either November or December. The featured Pokemon from the Japanese source sets have a “winter” feel, so it makes sense we’re getting this set at the end of the year!

[L][C] Continuous Tumble: 30+ damage. Flip a coin until you get tails. This attack does 30 more damage times the number of heads.
Gym Trainer was already released in America and Japan, so this will apparently be a new alternate art print that will release before Worlds. Perhaps it will release as an upcoming Gym promo? If so, this new alternate art version would be banned for Worlds.

You may play as many Item cards as you like during your turn.
As mentioned at the beginning of this news story, this set should release in early 2023. It’s a “mishmash” set containing Japanese promos. It should also be comprised of the cards from December’s VSTAR Universe. Some of the cards also have a winter feel.
