“VSTAR Universe” Main Set Officially Revealed!

All regular cards from VSTAR Universe have now been revealed! As expected, the main set features reprinted cards from the last year. Some of them feature alternate artwork, like all three Zeraora.

The real attraction of this set will be its secret rare cards. The set will introduce new “Art Rare” and “Super Art Rare” cards. Many of them were already revealed over the last few weeks; the rest will leak by next week when the set hits store shelves in Japan. Stay tuned for a follow-up news story!

The unique cards from this set should become part of our Crown Zenith set, which starts to release in January. Crown Zenith will also include cards that were cut from recent English sets.

Main Set

Reverse Holos

The set features reverse holos with a glittery look.

Secret Rares

All of the secret rares will be revealed by next week. Only a portion of them have been revealed so far.

Update: A few minutes after posting this story, new “Art Rares” for Lapras and Latias were revealed!

Since most of the set contains reprints, this section only contains translations for brand new cards.

Simisear VSTAR – Fire – HP260
VSTAR – Evolves from Simisear V

[R][C][C] Fireball Fever: 40 damage. You may discard up to 5 cards from the top of your deck. This attack does 40 more damage for each card you discarded.

[R] Ember Star (VSTAR Power): 30x damage. This attack does 30 damage times the number of Energy cards in your discard pile. (You can only use 1 VSTAR Power per game.)

When your Pokemon VSTAR is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Radiant Charjabug – Lightning – HP90
Basic Pokemon

You can’t have more than 1 Radiant Pokemon in your deck.

Ability: Shock Block
Whenever a player attaches an Energy from their hand to their Pokemon V, put 2 damage counters on that Pokemon.

[L] Linear Attack: This attack does 30 damage to 1 of your opponent’s Pokemon. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokemon.)

Hatterene V – Psychic – HP200
Basic Pokemon

[P] Horoscope: Look at the top 3 cards of your deck. Choose any number of Energy cards you find and attach them to this Pokemon. Return the remaining cards to the top of your deck in any order.

[P][C][C] Teleport Break: 80 damage. Switch this Pokemon with 1 of your Benched Pokemon.

When your Pokemon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Hatterene VMAX – Psychic – HP320
VMAX Pokemon – Evolves from Hatterene V

Ability: Witch’s Domain
Once during your turn, you may move up to 2 damage counters from 1 of your Pokemon to your opponent’s Active Pokemon.

[P][C][C] Max Divine Wrath: 150 damage. The opponent’s Active Pokemon is now Confused.

When your Pokemon VMAX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards.

Radiant Eternatus – Dragon – HP170
Basic Pokemon

You can’t have more than 1 Radiant Pokemon in your deck.

Ability: Climax Gate
Once during your turn, when you play this card from your hand onto your Bench, you may search your deck for up to 2 Pokemon VMAX and put them onto your Bench. Then, shuffle your deck. Your turn ends.

[R][D][C] Power Beam: 200 damage.

Bidoof – Colorless – HP60
Basic Pokemon

Ability: Nonchalant Look
As long as this Pokemon is on the Bench, it doesn’t take damage from any attacks.

[C][C] Hyper Fang: 30 damage. Flip a coin. If tails, this attack does nothing.

Regigigas V – Colorless – HP240
Basic Pokemon

[C][C] Hammer In: 50 damage.

[C][C][C] Raging Blow: 100+ damage. This attack does 10 more damage for each damage counter on this Pokemon. This Pokemon is now Confused.

When your Pokemon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Regigigas VSTAR – Colorless – HP300
VSTAR – Evolves from Regigigas V

[C][C][C] Giga Impact: 230 damage. This Pokemon can’t attack during your next turn.

Ability: Star Guardian (VSTAR Power)
You can use this Ability during your turn if your opponent has 1 Prize Card remaining. Discard 1 of your opponent’s Benched Pokemon and all cards attached to it. (You can only use 1 VSTAR Power per game.)

When your Pokemon VSTAR is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Ability: Star Order (VSTAR Power)
You may use this Ability during your turn. During this turn, when damage from the attack of your Basic Pokemon V Knocks Out your  opponent’s Active Pokemon VSTAR or VMAX, take 1 additional Prize Card. (You can only use 1 VSTAR Power per game.)

You may play any number of Item cards during your turn.
