New “Crown Zenith Unown V & Lugia V Special Collection” at Gamestop!

Crown Zenith is still getting new products! August 4th will see the release of a new “Crown Zenith Unown V & Lugia V Special Collection” at Gamestop stores!

It will come with five packs of Crown Zenith, a Lugia V promo, a jumbo version of the same card, an Unown V promo, a Lugia pin, and a Lugia coin.

It will cost $39.99. The product is exclusive to Gamestop stores in the United States.

The two promos originate from the Paradigm Trigger Mystery Box that was released in Japan on October 21st, 2022. They are alternate art reprints.

The last wave of Crown Zenith products released on May 5th, so this is coming three months later. TPCi obviously created this product later than the rest of the Crown Zenith line since the two promos released so late in Japan.

When we posted our Crown Zenith page in January, I wrote:

There are still a few Japanese cards that didn’t make the cut. All of them released within the last few months (except for Jirachi V and Lucario VSTAR). The cards probably weren’t created in time to be included in the English set before it was sent to the printer. It’s unclear if they will ever release in English. With a couple exceptions, the English TCG usually has no qualms leaving Japanese cards behind in order to proceed to a new generation.

The only possible exceptions below could be Quagsire V, Hisuian Braviary, Aerodactyl, and Peaceful Park. They are the only cards that aren’t reprints, making them (potentially) meaningful to players. We could at least see in an English box for Quagsire V in the future. It would be odd for Japanese players to have access to a V card that English players don’t.
