“World Championships 2023 Yokohama Deck” Announced, Contains New Pikachu ex Promo

A new “Pokemon World Championships 2023 Yokohama Deck -Pikachu-” will be sold in Japan on July 28th to commemorate this year’s World Championship!

The packaging itself is an aluminum tin. It will come with a 60-card deck, a Pikachu ex promo, card sleeves, a Pikachu coin, damage counters, and markers.

The Pikachu ex promo is an alternate art reprint from Paldea Evolved. It will feature a “World Championships 2023” stamp in the corner.

Basic Pokemon

[C] Pika Punch: 30 damage.

[L][L][C] Dynamic Bolt: 220 damage. Flip a coin. If tails, discard all Energy attached to this Pokemon.

Pokemon ex rule: When your Pokemon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Weakness: Fighting (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 0

This product will be sold at Pokemon Centers and the Pokemon Center Store at Worlds in Yokohama. It will cost 3500 yen, or about $25.

This deck seems cool! I've never been to Worlds and can't go this year, so this is a nice bonus!
 
This is what Worlds promos should be. Locking playable cards like Beach (and, to a lesser extent though it does see fringe play, Champions Festival) behind Worlds invites or shocking secondary market prices has never been something that anyone has enjoyed. A nice fancy alt art of an already-accessible card, which also makes it something of a trophy to keep or grade - as opposed to ruining its condition because you need to play it!
