“Pokemon Day” Events Coming to Pokemon Leagues on February 27th, Including Exclusive Merchandise!

We can reveal select Pokemon Leagues have been contacted by TPCi to host a “Pokemon Day 2024” event on Tuesday, February 27th.

TPCi will provide promotional merchandise for Leagues to give out to fans. This includes exclusive Pokemon Center Figures, GO TCG items, stamped promo cards that were previously unreleased, and new promo dice sets. They will also provide a TCG Demo kit.

Leagues are invited to host the Pokemon Day events however they like, whether that be a competitive tournament, friendly battles between players, raffles, or how-to-play sessions. The point is to celebrate Pokemon Day together and hand out the freebies to the community.

TPCi states the items are for promotional use only and can’t be sold. We don’t have product images yet, but stay tuned!

This is the first news revealed about this year’s Pokemon Day. Each year, Pokemon makes big announcements on Pokemon Day. The annual event celebrates the original release of Pokemon Red & Green on February 27th, 1996.
