“Crimson Haze” Set Officially Revealed for Japan Featuring Bloodmoon Ursaluna!

Crimson Haze has just been revealed at Japan’s Championship League Fukuoka!

It will be Japan’s SV5a set following Wild Force & Cyber Judge. The first cards won’t be revealed until tomorrow.

As we posted before, the set will release on March 22nd. We first discovered its trademark listing in September.

As predicted, the set will be headlined by Bloodmoon Ursaluna; it will also feature Sinitcha and Dipplin. Bloodmoon Ursaluna debuted in The Teal Mask DLC last September as a minor character. It’s a special form of Ursaluna that does not evolve from Ursaring, unlike the Ursaluna of Hisui.

In the past Ursaluna crossed the sea from Hisui and found its way to Kitakami. To adapt to the harsh region, it gained a long lifespan, a new appearance, and a new Ability called Mind’s Eye: “The Pokemon ignores changes to opponents’ evasiveness, its accuracy can’t be lowered, and it can hit Ghost types with Normal- and Fighting-type moves.”

Our Twilight Masquerade set in May should combine the cards from Crimson Haze and April’s (unannounced) Mask of Change set. This means our English set should be headlined by Ogerpon ex and Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex.

Other upcoming sets in Japan include Night Wanderer in June featuring The Loyal Three (and possibly Pecharunt) and Stellar Miracle in July or August featuring Terapagos.
