“Stellar Crown” Set Guide: English Card List, Secret Rares, Products, Store Promotions, and More!

We now have the full English set list for Stellar Crown — featuring the debut of Terapagos from The Indigo Disk!

Prereleases begin this weekend; you can find one near you on Pokemon.com. The set releases on September 13th.

Stellar Crown it our smallest main set since 2018’s Forbidden Light! It contains 175 cards: 142 in the main set and 33 secret rares. In comparison, Twilight Masquerade featured 226 total cards.

Our set includes the cards from July’s Stellar Miracle, the remaining cards from March’s Battle Academy, Venusaur ex and Blastoise ex from September’s Venusaur & Charizard & Blastoise Special Deck Set ex, and a few Japanese promos.

Six uncommon cards from Stellar Miracle have been upped to rare holos for Stellar Crown, increasing our holos from nine to 15. This includes Cradily, Carracosta, Alcremie, Grimmsnarl, Melmetal, and Bouffalant. This is to give more variety to rare cards due to the influx of Battle Academy “bulk” filling up our set’s common and uncommon spots.

Only three cards have been cut from our set. Noctowl will release as a promo in the set’s Elite Trainer Box, Houndstone ex is getting an ex Box for Halloween, and Terapagos ex’s full art will release in the Terapagos ex Ultra-Premium Collection.

Our set’s Basic Energy cards will feature new crystallized artwork. With the updated look, the Energy cards have received new numbering, now going from SVEEN009 through 016 (the original versions went from SVEEN001 through 008).

As covered before, Stellar Crown introduces Stellar Pokemon to the TCG. They are Tera Pokemon ex featuring powerful attacks that cost multiple types of Energy. Visually, the cards are distinguished by a white background with rainbow-colored borders. The Pokemon are wearing the Stellar crown from the video games — hence the name Stellar Crown.

Stellar Pokemon do not have a special mechanic label like “Stellar”; they are purely a thematic mechanic. Thus, they can only be targeted by their existing “Tera” label. As such, this set introduces several cards that help Tera Pokemon, including Noctowl, Briar, Glass Trumpet, and Area Zero Underdepths.

Stellar Pokemon are partly inspired by Shining Pokemon from the Neo era and Crystal Pokemon from the e-Card era. The cards featured attacks that cost multiple types of Energy.
