40+ International “Surging Sparks” Cards Revealed!

TPCi’s European branch has sent Surging Sparks reveals to various gaming outlets! This includes CNews, Dot Esports, Eldesmarque, Eurogamer, IGN, JdG, NextN, The Gamer, and Video Game Chronicle. Many of the cards are in foreign languages. (We’ve also included previous reveals below.)

As posted before, our Surging Sparks set will combine cards from August’s Stellar Ceruledge ex and Stellar Sylveon ex decks, September’s Paradise Dragona, and October’s Supercharged Breaker.

Our set should also include a few Japanese promos.

Although Kilowattrel ex isn’t confirmed to be in Surging Sparks, the placement of Tapu Koko (#65) and Uxie (#78) indicates that it will be in the set, as there are 12 cards located in between the two, but only 11 cards from the Japanese equivalents. With Wattrel and Kilowattrel already getting cards in Supercharged Breaker, it makes sense to include Kilowattrel ex to tag along the two.

Flamigo ex and Tyme are similar cases, with Flamigo ex fitting between Slaking ex (#147) and Brilliant Blender (#164), and Tyme fitting between Technical Machine: Fluorite (#188) and Exeggute (#192).

Based on the placements of our secret rare cards, we can also speculate about the rest of the secret rares we’ll get in Supercharged Breaker. They will all be revealed in Japan by next week.

The English Illustration Rare at #212 can either be Zangoose, Slakoth, Vigoroth, or Eternatus from Supercharged Breaker. With Eternatus receiving its first non-Rule Box card in the set, maybe it will be the one to get the Illustration Rare.

The Special Illustration rare placed at #236 has two options: Durant ex or Scovillain ex.

It’s also possible Capsakid and Scovillain ex could receive connected cards, similar to Joltik and Galvantula ex from Stellar Crown. This is due to there being room for a potential Capsakid Illustration Rare between Vivillon (#107) and Ceruledge (#109) in Supercharged Breaker, but that spot could also fit other Pokemon. Again, this is pure speculation.

Cards cut from Surging Sparks include Pecharunt and Zapdos, which are blister promos for Shrouded Fable and Surging Sparks, respectively.

Please let the SIR be Durant. It will probably be Scovillain though, it is Gen 9 after all. But this is Durant’s first two-prize card and first hit card, period, and it came out in Gen 5. Scovillain already has two ex cards and an IR. Also Durant is my favorite Pokemon lol

Honestly, I'm not a Durant fan but a Durant art would be cool asf if they do it right

Has anyone else noticed that they use a different font for hte Pokemon name on ex Cards? I've felt that way for a while but looking at it right now it's pretty clear.

They're the exact same. Compare the "C" and "e" in Charcadet and Ceruledge ex, for example. They're very clearly identical.

It's not between exs and non-exs like they said, but there is a font difference between some cards. It seems like it varies between language, and the individual set? Eng. Surging Sparks uses the same font as Eng. Shrouded Fable, but a different one than Eng. Stellar Crown. Look at the "S" at the beginning of each Pokémon's name

I think the ones with the fat-in-the-center S are preliminary images. That same Seadra has a "normal" S on Pkmncards.com and PTCGL:

(Some cards with the other font do slip through the cracks, like Skarmory TWM 119, but the version that actually went to print is correct, judging by Ebay listings.)

It just looks different from the Gill Sans 80% I'm used to and it's hard to figure out when they changed it. But the S in Sylveon and Uxie look different.

There's been a crazy amount of eevee's since obsidian flames. Only Temporal Forces, Paldean Fates, and Paradox Rift didn't have one. OBF, 151, TWM, SFA, SCR, and now Surging Sparks. Works for me
