Venusaur Solo Battle Event Launches in “Pocket,” Rewards Promo Pack with 12.6% Chance of Pulling Venusaur

A new Venusaur solo battle event has started in Pokemon TCG Pocket! It will run until December 12th.

You can battle against four Venusaur / Venusaur ex decks for a chance to win a “Promo Pack A Series Vol. 2″ booster pack. Battling against the expert level deck will guarantee a booster pack:

Each pack contains one promo card. You will have a 12.66% chance of pulling Venusaur, a 15.82% chance of pulling Greninja, and a 23.84% chance of pulling Haunter, Onix, and Jigglypuff. Only Haunter and Jigglypuff are brand new. The rest are alternate art reprints from Genetic Apex.

Last week’s “Fire Pokemon Mass Outbreak” was clearly meant to arm players with Fire-type cards for this event.

Next week there will be a new Wonder Pick event involving Bulbasaur and Magnemite promos. Stay tuned!

Is there a deck that can beat expert level using Auto mode? Guaranteed pack is nice but the battle takes around 5 minutes :/

Any type of hyperaggressive deck is completely broken in Pocket. This is especially true against Venusaur, a very slow deck based on evolutions. Decks like Pikachu or Starmie should be easy enough for the bot to pilot.

Damn, Pocket is pretty boring, ladder is just five decks...
...HAUNTER PROMO? Sign me in.
On the off-chance you're being serious, build a deck with no ex pokemon, and join a private match with NOEX as the password to enter a queue with much more deck variety.

I'm expecting Blaine and Dragonite dominating that pool. Alakazam, Melmetal and Arbok/Pidgeot a tier below and then random decks

EDIT: only Blaine and 1 Pika Ex/Zapdos Ex deck so far. That was fun

Of course I'm being serious, the main ladder is absolutely terrible.
However, I'm glad to see the community fixing it already. The games I had so far on the NOEX ladder were great.
