Most Valuable Cards from “Terastal Festival ex,” Surprisingly #1 is Not a Secret Rare!
Terastal Festival ex released in Japan last week!
I’ve gathered the average card prices from auction websites. These prices give us a clue of the initial interest in these cards. These are the most valuable cards in the set as of today:
- Umbreon (Master Ball RH): 37,000 yen ($242)
- Umbreon ex (SIR): 33,000 yen ($216)
- Sylveon ex (SIR): 11,000 yen ($72)
- Sylveon (Master Ball RH): 9,500 yen ($62)
- Espeon ex (SIR): 7,000 yen ($46)
- Glaceon ex (SIR): 6,700 yen ($44)
- Leafeon ex (SIR): 5,900 yen ($39)
- Pikachu ex (Gold UR): 5,800 yen ($38)
- Eevee & Other Eeveelutions (Master Ball RHs): 5,500 to 6,000 yen ($36 to $39)
- Vaporeon ex (SIR): 5,300 yen ($35)
- Eevee ex (both SIRs): 5,000 yen ($33)
- Jolteon ex (SIR): 4,900 yen ($32)
- Ceruledge ex (SIR): 3,980 yen ($26)
- Roaring Moon ex (SIR): 3,580 yen ($23)
- Palafin ex (SIR): 2,980 yen ($20)
- Friends in Paldea (FA): 2,780 yen ($18)
- Kieran (SIR): 2,680 yen ($18)
As the most popular Eeveelution, Umbreon’s Master Ball is the most valuable card in the set. Since there’s less than one Master Ball in a box but over 100 cards that can take the slot, each Master Ball card is rarer than the set’s secret rares. Sylveon is also one of the most popular Eeveelutions and thus outpaces the demand of the others.
Most Master Ball reverse holos run between 1,000 to 3,000 yen ($7 to $20). Poke Ball reverse holos run 1,000 yen or less ($7). Each booster box comes with two to three Poke Ball reverse holos.
The least valuable Special Illustration Rares are the following, each worth 200 yen to 300 yen ($1 to $2). As expected, Ogerpon’s alternate mask cards are the least wanted cards.
However, Ogerpon’s mask cards will probably increase in value over the next few generations because Creatures probably won’t make them again. Ogerpon is tied to this generation, so Pokemon can “indulge” in giving each form a card. When Ogerpon makes appearances in future generations, she probably won’t be seen with each mask individually.
For a long time Creatures also hasn’t been printing Pokemon exclusive to a generation, like the Therian forms of the Forces of Nature from Black & White or the Ultra Beasts from Sun & Moon. So once we move on to the next generation, we may not see Ogerpon for a very long time, let alone dedicated cards with her other masks.

The cards from this set will become part of our Prismatic Evolutions set on January 17th.
