Charmander and Squirtle Wonder Pick Event Now Live, Earn Promos and Accessories!

Part 1 of a new “Charmander and Squirtle Wonder Pick Event” is now live in Pocket!

The Bonus Pick section will award one of the following Charmander or Squirtle cards, a Wonder Hourglass, or an Event Shop Ticket (Blastoise). There is a 20% chance a Bonus Pick section will appear when your Wonder Picks refresh.

The Chansey Pick will award one of the promos for 2x Wonder Stamina. There is a 2.5% chance of seeing a Chansey Pick section when your Wonder Picks refresh.

As you collect the cards, you’ll complete the following Missions:

  • Collect 1 Squirtle card: 1x Event Shop Ticket (Blastoise)
  • Collect 1 Charmander card: 1x Event Shop Ticket (Blastoise)
  • Wonder pick 3 times: 2x Event Shop Ticket (Blastoise)
  • Wonder pick 4 times: 2x Event Shop Ticket (Blastoise)
  • Wonder pick 5 times: 3x Event Shop Ticket (Blastoise)

With the Blastoise Event Tickets, you’ll be able to get the following accessories from the Shop:

Idk why but this event unlocked for me like 2 days ago, not the shop, only the wonder pick I thought it was strange cuz in the news it didnt say anything about the event
 
Of all the types of events in Pocket so far, this is easily the worst. Is there ever any rhyme or reason for when or how the game deigns to give players a free/rare pick? Still haven't figured that out.

Any time the wonder pick queue refreshes (i.e. a wonder pick runs out), there's a chance for a Bonus pick. Iirc there's a 20% chance for a free bonus pick, and a 2.5% chance for a Rare chansey pick.

So check the wonder pick timers if you haven't got one atm.

Blue canonically uses either Pidgeot or Blastoise as his ace, at least according to modern art/spin-offs/mentions/etc.
Funnily enough, that's not the case during his battle in SMUSUM, probably because of Red's team.

Green uses Charizard on his team in LGPE, which is definitely a modern example. It's definitely a tossup, the only thing you don't tend to ever see this guy with is Venusaur.

Yeah, thinking on it, he has had varied starters throughout history. In fact, I even had my initial comment wrong. In SPE, he uses Charmander, Red uses Bulbasaur and Green uses Squirtle. In LGPE this is further reinforced. Even the cards released in Japan's version of Cosmic Eclipse support this. Still, I stand by the fact that Green's Squirtle is where it is at!
