Most Valuable Cards from “Battle Partners,” Huge Error on Gold N’s Zoroark ex, Hop’s Pokemon in Last Place
Battle Partners released in Japan a few days ago!
I’ve gathered the average card prices from auction websites. These prices give us a clue of the initial interest in these cards. These are the most valuable cards in the set as of January 24th:
- Lillie’s Clefairy ex (SIR): 58,000 yen
- Iono’s Bellibolt ex (SIR): 31,000 yen
- N’s Zoroark ex (SIR): 16,000 yen
- Iono’s Bellibolt ex (Gold): 11,000 yen
- Hop’s Zacian ex (SIR): 7,200 yen
- Salamence ex (SIR): 6,000 yen
- N’s Zoroark ex (Gold): 5,800 yen
- Iris’s Fighting Spirit (FA): 5,200 yen
- Lillie’s Clefairy ex (FA): 4,500 yen
- Volcanion ex (SIR): 4,300 yen
In terms of Illustration Rares, Trainer’s Pokemon far outweigh the prices of regular Pokemon. This is because they feature their Trainers in the artwork. The rest of the set’s regular IRs cost between 280 to 480 yen, with Swinub in last place.
- Lillie’s Ribombee: 4,480 yen
- Iono’s Kilowattrel: 2,780 yen
- N’s Reshiram: 3,480 yen
- Articuno: 1,680 yen
- N’s Zorua: 1,380 yen
- Wailord: 580 yen
For collectors overall, it seems the most popular cards are Lillie’s Pokemon, followed by Iono and N. Hop’s Pokemon are always in last place.
For Double Rares, N’s Zoroark ex is the most valuable due to the card’s competitive viability.
- N’s Zoroark ex: 1,080 yen
- Hop’s Zacian ex: 980 yen
- Lillie’s Clefairy ex: 780 yen
- Iono’s Bellibolt ex: 780 yen
- Mamoswine ex: 200 yen
Volcanion ex, Salamence ex, and Dudunsparce ex come in last at only 100 yen.
There appears to be a common misprint of the set’s gold N’s Zoroark ex. It accidentally uses the texture of the Special Illustration Rare version.
The error version currently costs around 80,000 yen, which technically makes it the most valuable card from the set.
