“Nintendo Switch 2” Officially Revealed For 2025!

The Nintendo Switch 2 has been officially revealed as the successor to the Switch! No release date has been revealed yet.

A Nintendo Direct will air on Wednesday, April 2nd, offering a closer look at the new console.

The Switch 2 is modeled after the original Switch, but is larger and more powerful.

It will be backward compatible with most physical and digital games from the original, including Pokemon titles.

The Switch 2’s redesigned Joy Cons appear to magnetically attach to the console. The unit will feature a handle-shaped kickstand that reclines all the way back. It also has a second USB-C port and a new button on the right Joy-Con.

Following the Nintendo Direct, Nintendo will hold multiple fan events around the world. This includes New York from April 4th to 6th, Los Angeles from April 11th to 13th, Dallas from April 25th to 27th, and Toronto from April 25th to 27th.

Currently the TCG is placing the first Pokemon: Z-A sets, Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia, in as early as July.

I wish they would bring back 3D graphics and camera like the 3DS had. I truly miss those.
But the magnetic controllers seem better than before.
The stereoscopic 3D was more annoying than it was worth, and would most likely make S2 more expensive to implement.
Honestly this is gonna be great. I am pretty sure the trailer revealed a new Mario kart (thank Arceus its been like 10 years)
I mean, not like we basically got an entire game's worth of additional content for it or anything.

I imagine Legends Z-A will be a launch title, if current predictions hold… if true, I believe this is the first time for a Pokemon game
eh,doubt it will, considering how gamefreak always stays stuck in a older generation of hardware for a bit,i imagine gen 10 will be on switch 2 though.

Effectively cutting the power in half isn't worth it imo. This sort of thing only works if you don't want to run console games.
