Steven’s Metagross ex and Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex Decks Revealed!

The “Steven’s Beldum & Metagross ex” and “Marnie’s Morpeko & Grimmsnarl ex” decks have finally been revealed! They will release on February 21st for 1,800 yen each.

Surprisingly, each deck will come with an Illustration Rare!

We expect the cards from these decks to be included in our English set after Journey Together.

Thanks goes to JustInBasil for the translations!

Spikemuth Gym – Trainer
Stadium

Once during each player’s turn, that player may search their deck for a Marnie’s Pokémon, reveal it, and put it into their hand. Then, that player shuffles their deck.

You may play only 1 Stadium card during your turn. Put it next to the Active Spot, and discard it if another Stadium comes into play. A Stadium with the same name can’t be played.

Granite Cave – Trainer

Steven’s Pokémon (both yours and your opponent’s) take 30 less damage from attacks from the opponent’s Pokémon (after applying Weakness and Resistance).

Energy Recycler – Trainer
Item

Shuffle up to 5 basic Energy cards from your discard pile into your deck.

You may play as many Item cards as you like during your turn.

Marnie's seems kinda weak, hopefully they release more support for it. Steven's seems really tanky, cerueldge stocks rising? or heat wave arena could see some more fire types.

Hop's Zacian should've been the deck box and Steven's Metagross should've received the SAR. Zacian already has a Hop trainer gallery card and a CZ GG card. Lame

Enerrgy recycler might actually be huge for iono's decks tbh! With the kilowattrel engine you can attach all the energies you draw into and then use another kilowattrel

Tank/Heal Strategy has arrived!!!
We've got the tank. But where's the heal? Where's Max Potion?
Althoooooough... once you've effectively achieved a maximum HP of 400 (Or 460 when you realize this thing needs to get 2HKOed), I think you can afford the luxury of relying on a Supporter card to "heal."

I mean, Metagross got an Illustration Rare, while Grimmsnarl has gotten no fancy Illustration Rare treatment. It's not the worst off here, and theoretically it could still get the special treatment in this year's holiday set or something (Flashbacks to the Deoxys VMAX, Deoxys VSTAR and Zeraora VSTAR cards from the Galarian Gallery).

They said in the podcast and a previous article that these decks will be on the rocket set.
But I think they said it because they thought the deck would include a SAR card, not an IR card.
They will likely be in the Rocket set for the English release. We're not getting these decks in English.
