New Umbreon ex and Espeon ex Promos Releasing in Korea, Likely Coming to English in September!

Pokemon Korea has revealed two “Terastal Festival ex Playmat Set” boxes featuring brand new full art versions of Espeon ex and Umbreon ex! Their artwork hasn’t been seen anywhere else in the world yet, including Japan.

Each box will come with one of the two promos, four booster packs of the Korean Terastal Festival ex, and a playmat. They will release on February 26th for 35,000원 ($24).

It’s likely these will be the same Espeon ex and Umbreon ex promos we receive in our Prismatic Evolutions Premium Figure Collection. It will release on September 26th.

None of the Eeveelutions received full art cards in Terastal Festival ex or Prismatic Evolutions. They only appeared as Double Rare cards and Special Illustration Rare cards.

Looking forward to seeing a lot of scalpers lose a lot of money on this. Umbreon is one of the 5 Pokémon the average "investor" knows, but let's be real, no actual fan gives a shit about these full arts. That has to be the ugliest Umbreon I've ever seen.
Shhh, dont tell them
Also kinda sad they're just full arts. Would have been so cool to make alternate ones like in the tagteam gx tins

I don't think they're that bad (Could've been reprint regular ex cards) but I really wish Pokemon would reserve promos for alternate artworks like in Shrouded Fable so the boxes feel worth it. No one is enticed by a regular Mabosstiff ex.

This is it? These are the promos? 2 options or the scalpers will get burned or they understand this is not worth scalping and leave it alone.

3rd option is Pokemon prints this into the ground

Please, cut the gatekeeping.

When I'm building a deck, it's nice to have art options other than the lowest rarity standard ex look and a mega-rare mona picasso vinci masterpiece. People run regular old full arts in their decks, sometimes even when it wouldn't be hard for them to obtain the super sparkly version. These cards aren't all that meta but who knows, maybe someday, they still have a long ways to go. And the same logic applies to all full art cards either way.

Yeah they aren't the prettiest looking cards, but when you're playing in a tournament you're not only looking for pretty, you're also looking for functional. Pokemon's full arts are very simple but they stand out a bunch, which is genuinely valuable for some players since it means less time registering what cards you Iono'd into and more time thinking about how to win.

I really like both of those! Especially the Espeon. Simple, but nice. Hopefully, there will be a lot of product available.

They look really good. It would have been nice to have a FA version of each eeveelution in terastal festival.
I wouldnt be surprised if they released them later on, we only have 3 full arts and collectors would be mad without the others

As a TCG player and collector I think it looks pretty cool. But I certainly hope too that scalps get burned too. It’s also entirely possible (but maybe not likely) that too much product is printed over the medium term as much of the demand currently is from investors who believe that immense demand will exist in a couple of years when it may not be.
