“Journey Together” Set Guide: Card List, Products, Store Promos, and Booster Box Situation!

We now have the full English set list for Journey Together!

The set will release on March 28th. Prereleases will run from March 15th to 23rd.

Our set is a combination of Japan’s Battle Partners and the leftover cards from ex Starter Deck Generations. Only Zacian ex and Koraidon ex have been cut. They will be turned into promos for May’s Slashing Legends Tins.

Our English set upgrades a few cards from uncommon to rare holo: Butterfree, Ludicolo, Metagross, Lillie’s Ribombee, Regirock, and Noivern.

Thanks goes to Steffenka for compiling the set list below!

“Journey Together” Secret Rares List

“Journey Together” Products

“Journey Together” Booster Box Situation

For the first time ever, Journey Together will feature two different booster boxes: a regular version and an “Enhanced” version.

The Enhanced version of the booster box will come with an N’s Reshiram promo inside. The card will feature an exclusive Journey Together stamp. When you open the box, the card will be sitting on top of your packs (inside plastic).

This will be the first booster box to feature a box topper since Generation III.

Americas

Based on what we currently know, only the Enhanced Booster Box will be available in the Americas; it’s the only version of the box listed on TPCi’s official sell sheet. So we’re assuming you should receive this version if you purchase a booster box from GameStop, Best Buy, an LGS, the U.S. and Canadian Pokemon Centers, or a distributor.

Europe

In European countries, both boxes will be available; TPCi lists both versions on the set’s sell sheet.

Most European stores will only carry the regular version (without the promo).

The Enhanced version is only available through the UK’s Pokemon Center website (already sold out) and select hobby stores that run Play! Pokemon events. However, the quantity of boxes sent to Play! Pokemon stores will be extremely limited.

“Journey Together” Store Promos

A holo Hop’s Dubwool with a Journey Together stamp will be given out at Best Buy with $15 in Pokemon TCG purchases.

We don’t currently know the GameStop promo. We should find out within the next week or two.

In Southeast Asia, some stores will give away a holo Hop’s Snorlax promo with a Journey Together stamp. This may be the GameStop promo as well.

“Journey Together” English Card Reveals

Only a few cards have been revealed in English so far. The rest should come in the next few weeks. Stay tuned!

New TCG Language

For the first time ever, the TCG will print this set in a new language: Latin American Spanish! Set names, attack names, and Pokedex entries will be better localized for Latin American fans.

Future English Sets

Our next English set is Destined Rivals. It will release on May 30th. It will source its cards from Japan’s The Glory of Team Rocket (releasing April 18th), Heat Wave Arena (March 14th), and the Marnie and Steven decks (February 21st).

We’re getting a special English set in July which should feature the cards from Japan’s Black Bolt & White Flare. It will feature all 156 Unova Pokemon.

In August or September we should get our first MEGA set based on Japan’s Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia.

I'm guessing this is confirmation that Pokémon didn't change the name of N's item card?
Sad. They didn't give Surging Sparks the set code SUS, but they allowed that horrible name to escape into the world. So much for me ever building N's Zoroark ex.

TPCi targets another theme at collectors, this time with popular trainers instead of Pokemon. But it begs the question, even if you're just a collector, is it even fun to try and get these sets anymore, with the minimal supply and people pulling guns on one another?

Absolutely not. Journey Together's booster boxes are like $220 on the secondary market right now (which is about 2x what it used to cost to buy a booster box of a new set 4 months ago) and have been sold out on Pokemon Center for months. I have zero excitement because Journey Together looks like it's just a continuation of the mess that has been this hobby since November.

I just realized you changed your description from "H-on will save the game" to "it did not."

My favorite S/IRs are Articuno, Noibat, Wailord, and Volcanion ex. I can pass on the rest of the set. I really like Lillie’s Clefairy ex, Lillie’s Ribombee, and Salamence ex but the first two will definitely end up too expensive for my taste, with the latter straddling the line. Pretty ok mid-tier set with not much to dislike, I’d enjoy cracking it open at MSRP (maybe someday?)
