Mega Camerupt ex, Mega Absol ex, Mega Mawile ex, Mega Abomasnow ex Revealed!

Artwork for Japan's next set of Gym tournaments, called the "MEGA Summer League," all but confirms Mega Absol ex and Mega Camerupt ex will be included in Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia. The tournaments will start on August 1st, the day the sets release. Each deck must include two or more Mega Evolution cards.

Update: A marketing photo for the tournaments has revealed Mega Camerupt ex, Mega Abomasnow ex, Mega Absol ex, and Mega Mawile ex! They are too small to translate.

Mega Gardevoir ex, Mega Lucario ex, and Mega Latias ex have already been revealed, and we knew Mega Kangaskhan ex would be included in the sets thanks to the Ultra PRO portfolio for our Mega Evolution set. Mega Venusaur ex isn't shown on the artwork, so it doesn't represent all the Mega Evolutions that will be included in the sets.

If they're doing such a small amount of megas in the first mega set, that pretty much confirms the first few sets will use the gen 6 ones and then the mega sets afterward will use the ZA ones. Having said that, I have a feeling there will be room for one more set between the final ZA set and whenever gen 10 comes out (November/December 2026). I hope it's another crown zenith. Maybe they'll make Zenith another -Fates situation wherein it's a new genre of special sets?
 
If these are all indeed in that first set thats quite a lot. Id say I like that since they can bring the more non popular ones and the ones that dont even have a card yet, and a proper spotlight since god knos how long its gonna take for them to come back; but now Im not sure all will have a SIR which is a bit sad

That doesn't even make sense to me. Like mathematically. Okay. We know we will get 3 more mega sets this year(excluding mega dream ex for this)

If we assume each set to have a minimum of 6 megas at the end of the year we'd have around 26ish mega cards.


NOW BIG SPOILER TO THE AMOUNT OF NEW MEGAS IN ZA!


In ZA there will be at least 27 new megas , rumors say it'll be 32 final. So we would need to get 80 mega ex cards by the end of next year and assuming each set having 6 I come to the conclusion of around maximum 70. Of course there will be bigger sets that contain 8 exs so okay, maybe it really can be done... CRAZY
 
All the ex cards being mega makes sense, with the Gengar and Diancie decks they still have 48 pre-existing Mega Pokemon. A nice round number especially if they do the usual 6-8 ex per Japanese set.

With the potential for another quarter of new megas in Legends ZA they could do only mega ex and easily hit 10 or so sets in the block.
 
Still yet to see a Mega with an ability. Although none of them in the past had abilities, this is the best time to have one now that they have 2 attacks instead of the 1 they used to.
