‘Shocking Volt Tackle,’ Japan’s September Set!
Shocking Volt Tackle (仰天のボルテッカー) will be the name of Japan’s fourth main Sword & Shield set. The name was previously revealed through trademark listings.
The set will release on September 18th and feature 100 cards (excluding secret rares). Its mascot will be Gigantamax Pikachu. This means we should get a Pikachu V and Pikachu VMAX. The set will see the release of a “Pikachu Forest” deck box, card sleeves, and playmat.
A package will release the same day containing five booster packs of the set, a coin, and a holo promo. It will retail for 4,950 yen, or about $50. The package will be large in size.
Additionally, a “VMAX Special Set” will release on October 23rd. It will come with one of four Pokemon VMAX promos and three corresponding holo Energy. It will also include one booster pack of each Sword & Shield set for a total of eight booster packs. It will retail for 1,958 yen, or around $20.
