Rainbow Rare Charizard VMAX, Full Art Charizard V Promos!
Six hundred copies of a hyper rare Charizard VMAX promo will be awarded to top finishers of special tournaments in Japan! The top four finishers will win a full art Charizard V promo. All participants will receive a “Gym Trainer” promo.
From July 23rd to September 22nd, players will be able to participate in “Charizard HR Contests” in which they open ten booster packs of Legendary Heartbeat and build a deck (like our prerelease tournaments). The tournaments will be held at Pokemon Centers and locations that host Pokemon Gym tournaments.
The last few times Pokemon held tournaments like this, we did not get the promos overseas. So it seems unlikely we’ll get these Charizard cards in our Darkness Ablaze set. But since it’s Charizard, TPCi could have planned for it, so who knows…
The Charizard cards are reprints with new artwork. The original versions originate from the Charizard VMAX deck, released on March 27th.
