New “VSTAR Universe” Cards Revealed, Including Hatterene VMAX!

Several brand new cards have just been revealed from VSTAR Universe! Up until now, we’ve only seen reprints in the set.

Hatterene is the final Gigantamax Pokemon from Generation 8 to get her own card (unless you count Appletun, which is identical to Flapple). There were fears among fans she wouldn’t get a VMAX card before the end of the Sword & Shield era, as some Mega Evolutions were left out of the XY era.

Regigigas V – Colorless – HP240
Basic Pokemon

[C][C] Hammer In: 50 damage.

[C][C][C] Raging Blow: 100+ damage. This attack does 10 more damage for each damage counter on this Pokemon. This Pokemon is now Confused.

When your Pokemon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Regigigas VSTAR – Colorless – HP300
VSTAR – Evolves from Regigigas V

[C][C][C] Giga Impact: 230 damage. This Pokemon can’t attack during your next turn.

Ability: Star Guardian (VSTAR Power)
You can use this Ability during your turn if your opponent has 1 Prize Card remaining. Discard 1 of your opponent’s Benched Pokemon and all cards attached to it. (You can only use 1 VSTAR Power per game.)

When your Pokemon VSTAR is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Simisear VSTAR – Fire – HP260
VSTAR – Evolves from Simisear V

[R][C][C] Fireball Fever: 40 damage. You may discard up to 5 cards from the top of your deck. This attack does 40 more damage for each card you discarded.

[R] Ember Star (VSTAR Power): 30x damage. This attack does 30 damage times the number of Energy cards in your discard pile. (You can only use 1 VSTAR Power per game.)

When your Pokemon VSTAR is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Basic Pokemon

You can’t have more than 1 Radiant Pokemon in your deck.

Ability: Climax Gate
Once during your turn, when you play this card from your hand onto your Bench, you may search your deck for up to 2 Pokemon VMAX and put them onto your Bench. Then, shuffle your deck. Your turn ends.

You may use this Ability during your turn. During this turn, when damage from the attack of your Basic Pokemon V Knocks Out your  opponent’s Active Pokemon VSTAR or VMAX, take 1 additional Prize Card. (You can only use 1 VSTAR Power per game.)

You may play any number of Item cards during your turn.
