“Crimson Haze,” “Night Wanderer,” “Mask of Change” Set Names Trademarked for the TCG!
Three new trademarks have been filed by Pokemon: Crimson Haze (クリムゾンヘイズ, Night Wanderer (ナイトワンダラー), and Mask of Change (変訪の仮面). They’re under the same terms as trademarks consistently used for set names in the past.
Mask of Change seems to be a reference to Ogerpon, the mascot of The Teal Mask. At this time we’re not sure what the other two set names could be referring to.
It’s likely two of the sets will release together while the third will be a subset.
We usually discover trademarks around six months before they go into use. These should release in early 2024.
These are all the upcoming Japanese sets and products we’re currently aware of. Be sure to check out the links for more information:
- September 22: SV3a Raging Surf featuring Gholdengo ex and a Tera Water-type Garchomp ex. It will feature 62 cards before secret rares. A Starter Set Terastal Mewtwo ex” and “Starter Set Terastal Skeledirge ex” will also release alongside the set.
- October 27: SV4 Ancient Roar and Future Flash featuring Roaring Moon ex and Iron Valiant ex.
- Late October: “Pokemon Trading Card Game Classic” Box Set, featuring three decks headlined by Base Set Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise
- November 10: “Special Deck Set ex Venusaur & Charizard & Blastoise” featuring three decks headlined by Venusaur ex, Charizard ex, and Blastoise ex
- December: SV4a Shiny Treasure, likely featuring shiny Pokemon
- January (?): SV5 Cyber Judge and Wild Force, possibly featuring Iron Leaves ex and Walking Wake ex
- February (?): Battle Academy, which seems be a reference to the Blueberry Academy that will be featured in The Indigo Disk, the second part of the Scarlet & Violet DLC releasing this winter.
