“Surging Sparks” Set Guide: Card List, Secret Rares, Products, and Store Promotions!

We posted most of the English cards from Surging Sparks a few weeks ago, but now that it’s release day, all of them have been revealed!

As posted before, our Surging Sparks set combines the cards from August’s Stellar Ceruledge ex and Stellar Sylveon ex decks, September’s Paradise Dragona, and October’s Supercharged Breaker.

“Surging Sparks” Store Promotions

We will be getting four store promos this time instead of two! The promos will also serve to promote Pokemon Horizons, so they will not feature a GameStop stamp or set logo.

GameStop will give away Sprigatito and Terapagos, Best Buy will give away Fuecoco and Terapagos, and the Pokemon Center will give away Quaxly and Terapagos. You will get one promo when spending $15 or more on set purchases.

The cards come from Surging Sparks except for Sprigatito, who comes from Paldea Evolved. All four Pokemon are central characters in the Pokemon Horizons anime.

Cut Cards & Additions

Cards cut from Surging Sparks include Pecharunt and Zapdos, which are blister promos for Shrouded Fable and Surging Sparks, respectively.

Our set also includes three Japanese promo cards: January’s Flamigo ex and Tyme and April’s Kilowattrel ex.

Honestly, yeah. They had a really good opportunity to do something really clever with the bridge concept. Looks like a regular full art to me :/ I will say the texturing on my japanese SAR does bring the card to a slightly better light. Not enough to make the artwork any better though
 
On the other hand looking at a higher quality Hydreigon SIR its so beautiful. Inb4 the comments of how tera hats killed their grandmas, Idgad, Egawa makes the crystal effect so sublime

It got a great AR, so who really cares. It just shows that the company chooses random among the artworks to make an IR or SIR (and in this case FA)

Gotta thank the pokevestors for crying because people could actually COLLECT the cards instead of treating them like stocks. Definitely will miss the early era of gen 9 which had a lot of awesome cards that were affordable

Considering his signature move involves lightning that is boosted under rain it definitely should've involved something sick like him firing off a big ass beam in a storm or using the bridge pokemon as a, well, bridge. Unfortunately not every card can be a hit but JEEZ this one missed the mark badly

It is starting to destroy the hobby for me tbqh. They should be closer to Japanese pull rates. I will probably make the complete switch to Japanese after SV
