New Print Runs of “Terastal Festival ex” and Other Sets Available in Japan This Week!

Pokemon Japan has been busy printing more products!

We can confirm that starting this weekend, freshly printed stock of Night Wanderer (originally released June 7th), Stellar Miracle (September 13th), Terastal Festival ex (December 6th), and Battle Partners (January 24th) will be available at Japan’s Pokemon Centers and other retailers. Some stores may take up to a week to get the product in.

We’re told the stock will not be as large as the original print runs, but it will not be small either.

Based on recent preorder listings, in April there will also be new stock of Paradise Dragona (September 13th) and Supercharged Breaker (October 18th) shipping to stores.

Sales of last week’s Heat Wave Arena are currently underway at physical Pokemon Center stores with a limit of 10 packs per person. Online sales were originally scheduled on their website for March 14th, the day of release, but the launch was postponed due to congestion and a glitch with the website’s credit card processing system. A lottery sale has been planned for a later date; details will be announced later.

As of today, the online Pokemon Center website lists only these sets in stock:

In January I wrote an article on how demand for Prismatic Evolutions was much higher than supply, causing severe shortages to stores. Two weeks later, TPCi announced it promised to print more Prismatic Evolutions “as quickly as possible and at maximum capacity” due to “high demand.”

In the past TPCi has usually taken six to nine months to print more product, so we might see more Prismatic Evolutions by the summer or fall. Currently, what little stock that exists is being sold for much higher than MSRP.

Probably those that don’t reside in Japan and use a forwarding service like Tenso will have their orders cancelled as they now consider you a “fraudulent account”.

Not quite true. You can order regularly for all products except for TCG. For those you need a verified phone number. If your phone number isn’t verified, you can’t even place an order on those products - so nothing to cancel.

Not enough not enough 👎!! We need a 5x print run of the original plus a limit of 1-2x boosterbox per customer

2 packs per person per day for terrastal festival… definitely not a reprint. If this is what Japan is doing then other countries will get maybe a few pallets for all stores, which will be sold before it even hits the floor.

This situation becoming even more hilarious, current day Pokemon selling faster than the iPhone 6. TPC going to need stop selling to private distros and build another MPG facility as the only 2 and the help from cartamundai isn’t making a dent in the demand.

Verified phone number wasn’t mentioned as a requirement for these reprints, but it was for Hot Wave Arena. I’ll see how I go.

I am once again begging TCP to just do reprint sets. You made a perfect system with the letters so everyone knows at a glance wha is/isn't legal in Standard, and you are already releasing sets of non-legal cards like the World Champion Decks and Pokemon TCG Classic decks. No reason they can't just leave off the legality letters and do something like WotC does with their "Remastered" sets.
